Wish I read it first
I have been reading books about trading for the past few years (a phenomenon described in this book!). None opened my eyes and gave me the value that this little book did. Had I read it first I would have been more selective with the books I spent my time reading. This book is not about teaching a trading strategy, it is about teaching everything else you will need to be successful with your preferred strategy. Very well written in short easy to read chapters each delivering one core concept. I finished reading it, turned around to the first page and started over. I consider the ideas in this book this critical. I wanted to read it a second time to enhance the lessons. Don't miss out on it.

In other words: elaborate with more words
The book is a good pep talk for those already familiar with OTA's solid strategies, such as 3 to 1 risk to reward ratio and setting a stop loss. If you listen to the school's Power Trading Radio, this information will also support what you should know about investing strategies and psychological self control.I marked my copy up with annotations of useful mantras, and that's pretty much what this book is: investment affirmations and anecdotes. Really, all you need to do is look at the chapter titles and post them, because that's EXACTLY what the one-page chapters want you to go away with.Essentially, the book is a list of sayings with the author's personal anecdotes, and a sprinkling of pirate facts. It's a cute, quick read that serves as a reminder of what you should already know as an Online Trading Academy Student. For everyone else, it's a little taste of what should be efficient, effective trading.[3 stars because nothing new was learned, only reinforced common knowledge.]

The Voice of Experience
Debbie Hague is an experienced trader. I have taken two classes from her and she is also an excellent teacher. These 67 pointers are almost all from her own trading experience and are appropriate for beginners and experienced traders alike. Read through the book then read one nugget everyday you trade. If you apply these pointers, you will be a better trader.

Novice point of view
Loved it. Very practical easy read. Gave me a foundation for something I know almost nothing about. I believe I have a better chance at being successful by following the guidance in this book. It doesn't teach you how to trade in a technical sense, but offers good advice on your approach.

If you ever have the chance to read her book or even better. Meet her in person
I have had the pleasure of listening and learning from Debbie through Online Trading Academy. She makes understanding the markets from a professional point of view. If you ever have the chance to read her book or even better. Meet her in person. I would make a point to do so.

A great read
As an OTA grad this book sums up the what we were taught about trading. A great reference to reach for when you feel frustrated with the outcome of a trade. Debra knows; she's been there and by her own account has made all of the mistakes that we has beginning traders make. Thanks Debra for sharing your insights and experiences!

Slightly different
This book is somewhat different from the usual Trading books available on the shelf. For one it doesn’t shy away from mentioning the usual psychological traps which many exceptionally smart people fall into when they venture into trading. The book won’t teach you any strategy or indicator use but nevertheless is good for the insights it provides. Worth a buy.
