Low amp/watts draw from unit as 120 volts setup

I use this 240 volt 1500 watt element in a tiny house setup in a 120 volt 10 gallon water heater and the unit draws only 352 watts, which is great for a low 3 amp draw, especially if one has very few total watts/amps from solar panels power. Just expect to have a long wait time for hot water, about 2 hours for temperature of 110 degrees!

Save a buck

My power company started charging for KW peak demand. This easily keeps up with my one shower a day needs and shaved a couple dollars off my bill. I have wired it for 375 watts @ 120 volts and use a timer to run it in the middle of the night.
