Great DVD’s excellent condition and quality very pleased.

The full collection every tv episode, including film specials. at a good price, worth every penny and a real treat for any waltons fan.

Although this was an import it was clearly stated that it was in English...also it arrived 2 days early...excellent

It has taken some time to get around to writing this review - we have watched every episode on this massive set, and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. However, one thing should be made very clear - this is a German production, and although, as some have said, it is easy enough to select an English soundtrack, the problem I have is with the DVD menu pages, which are all in German. The style of these pages changes as you progress through the set, so full descriptions of each episode can be seen all all of the earlier discs (although the German titles are quite different from the English titles), in the later discs, only episode numbers are given. My solution was to copy out a full listing of all the episodes from Wikipedia and use that as a guide. As this is a very big set, we preferred to watch one (or perhaps two) episodes per night, meaning that we had to go through the whole German/English business for each episode. Less troublesome, although still annoying, is that all menu pages appear in 16:9 aspect ratio, while all of the episodes appear in 4:3 - we compromised, reading squeezed up menu pages, but at least the episodes looked good - and for TV programmes of that era from USA, the quality is remarkably good.We also got the Waltons Movie collection, which is in English throughout, and is an excellent production (still 4:3 with 16:9 menu pages).There have been many reviews of the programmes themselves, and I have nothing to add to that, except to ask rather plaintively why we cannot have programmes like that any more.

Over the moon great value it’s in German language .But just change it to English in the settings.Very good quality and a fraction of the price and the hole box set very happy.Thank you .

A little bit of thought required to review this import product. If you are a "Walton's Mountain" fan, like myself then this is for you. It contains all the episodes and the story lines are 100% accurate. It is produced for the European market with a mixture of German and English Language with English Sub titles and in some episodes parts are spoken in native English / American or a mix of German / English but to its credit, value for money this is a good offer. It contains 58 high quality DVD's covering the complete series from 1-9 and divided into yearly episodes in a beautifully presented box set, and at the price I don't think can be beaten. If you can live with this product and accept the format arrangement for what it is, and want to follow the story lines in each episode, you will not be disappointed. It is a question of can you do better, Good-Luck with your choice, I'm happy in keeping mine.

This was an early Christmas gift and i absolutely love it! This really takes me back to my childhood, and to a time when the world was young and people were nice. If anyone out there is reading this review and is fed up of the constant misery that is the news, X-Factor and celebrities mugging for the camera then buy this and cheer yourself up, you won't regret it. The Walton's are just as good now as they were back then, and this is in no small part to the heartwarming writing of Earl Hamner, and the cast who brought his writing to life. As there are so many DVD's in this collection you're bound to come across some episodes that you've forgotten, (as i did) so make yourself a cuppa, sit back and enjoy.The DVD collection does come with German writing, but plays in English with the option of German subtitles should you want them. Considering this set contains the entire series this is an absolute bargain, and should keep you going through the cold winter months. Heartily recommended.

Die "Waltons" waren schon früher einer meiner Lieblingsserien nur leider viel zu wenig im normalen TV zu finden.Deshalb habe ich sofort zugegriffen als ich die DVD Gesamtbox hier bei Amazon entdeckt habe.Bild und Ton sind völlig ausreichend um Spaß an den einzelnen Folgen zu haben und in alten Erinnerungen zu schwelgen.Ja, in fast allen Folgen sind Passagen dabei die nicht synchronisiert sind aber man hat sich die Mühe gemacht diese mit Untertiteln zu versehen und so auch den Leuten die der englischen Sprache nicht mächtig sind mitzuteilen um was es gerade geht.Der Schuber in dem die 9 Staffeln untergebracht sind ist sehr stabil und übersichtlich (da habe ich schon ganz anderes erlebt) und macht sich auch hübsch auf dem Bücherregal über dem TVDas einzige Manko was ich für mich persönlich empfinde ist das es die Serie nicht remastert auf Blu ray gibt (wie z.b Baywatch die Ich auch mein eigen nenne) aber das ist meckern auf höchstem Niveau.

Diese Serie kenne ich aus meiner Kindheit. Ich hatte mir zuerst die erste Staffel gekauft, mal reingeguckt und festgestellt, dass ich aus dem Alter wohl raus bin. Ich hatte dann beschlossen, sie wegzugeben, wollte der Serie vorher aber ein letztes Mal eine Chance geben und habe mir ein paar Folgen angeschaut. Ich war erstaunt, wie mich die Folgen immer mehr - heute in fortgeschrittenem Alter - begeistert haben. Warum?1. Es wird ein gegen heutige Verhältnisse gutes (nicht problemloses) Amerika gezeigt, die Serie beginnt in der Depression der 30er Jahre, wurde aber in den 70er Jahren gedreht, als Amerika noch andere Werte kannte2. Der Zusammenhalt der Familie berührt mich, obwohl Konflikte immer wieder da sind - aber wie sie gelöst werden, ist einfach wohltuend.3. Es gibt keinerlei Gewalt, was heute ja als unerlässlich für die Spannung gilt. Hier geht es anders4. Es werden Werte vorgelebt, die nicht rein amerikanisch sind, sogar recht progressiv. Verständnis, Anstand, Zusammenhalt, gegenseitige Hilfe, die auch Freuden zugute kommt, Naturverbundenheit. Konflikte werden nie gewaltsam gelöst, sondern durch reden und aushandeln. Die Toleranz für Anderssein ist erstaunlich hoch.5. Die Darsteller sind genau die richtigen für ihre Rollen und strahlen Glaubwürdigkeit aus.Daher habe ich mir dann die gesamte Serie mit allen Staffeln gekauft.

Endlich alle Folgen in einer Box Super!!!

Schön, mal wieder bei den Waltons reinzuschauen. Kleiner Wermutstropfen: Viel zu viele Passagen im Originalton mit Untertitel. Kann man deswegen mit Kindern eher nicht gucken

Die Dvd sind in guten Zustand diese Serie ist echt super
