You can adjust the top part of the lamp to give the best angle for your needs - I have it with the LEDs facing upwards like an uplighter but can face downwards or sidewards if that's what you need. Easy to use, simple controls on the lamp itself, plus the very handy remote with a couple of presets for cool and warm light and also + and - buttons to adjust warmth/coolness and brightness. Even more handy is the 60s and 10m buttons which when pressed switches the light off at that time - ie. 60s switches off 60 seconds later (so you can move through the room without bumping in to everything) or 10m for 10 minutes later (I guess if your easing off to sleep but don't like the dark?). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Superb quality, excellent lighting/features - highly recommended. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 26 July 2019* This is a remarkably good light! Compact box, well packed; assembly is incredibly easy (easiest to screw the three sections together, then lay flat and rotate the base into place. Love the thin, non-slip base. The swan neck is excellent - smooth, easy to adjust, with the adjustment starting at top of the sofa height, meaning it can be adjusted in any position needed. The light is adjustable through many levels from bright white to warm white, with multiple variations of brightness and colour throughout. It also has a 60 second and 10 minute timer, plus nightlight feature... yes, the list goes on and on. The remote is smart, compact and easy to use. I have a severe visual impairment, and this lamp is FAR better than anything I have seen anywhere else. My wife is ordering one for crafting/needelpoint work. For the (very reasonable) price, it is well worth buying. I am disappointed about the remote but am not able to chase this up at present. I am an Amazon newbie and havent cottoned on to the whole send it back thing which must be easy but as I can use the manual controls it isnt so important that I'd bother. Lamp so far is very useful. I hope the bulb lasts a good length of time though because it is not replaceable. Only time will tell. (Not a very eco sustainable product then!
