TOZO OpenEgo Open Ear Earbuds 80H Bluetooth 5.3 Headphones Sport Earbuds

I am not a fan of in ear, ear buds anymore. I also can't really wear over hear headphones in my line of work. About 2 years ago I purchased some bone conduction headphones and I love them.. mainly for audio books / pod casts. Music, not so much. I found a pair of over ear, open ear phones a few months back and I was impressed with them but within a week, the right side just stopped charging so I stopped using them. I came across these about 1 week ago. I have never been more impressed! I charged them once on Sunday and started using them first thing Monday morning. The sound quality for everything is amazing. Music.. I listen to everything but this week was a metal / hip hop week for me. There is actually bass pumping out of these things. It won't make your head explode or anything but its really nice for something this small. The app lets you really dial in the EQ to your liking or you can choose from a library of user created ones. Now for the battery.. WOW! I have these on my ears for my entire shift, about 9-10hrs a day and never once did they cause any discomfort. As a matter of fact, at the end of the day when I take them off, an hour later I go to take them off again cause I forgot that I already took them off because they're so light weight. So yeah, I take them off and put them in the case (which is also pretty nice) and the next morning I put them back on. It appears that each charge in the case uses a little over %10 battery. In other words.. I haven't charged the case once since last Sunday and today is Friday. As for phone calls which I also receive a ton a day, people are telling me they are impressed with how I sound now compared to my last over ear earphones. If I am in my office I can have the volume down super low and can hear whatever I am listening to along with the people around me with no issues. If I am out on the shop floor I can crank these up enough to really get the party going (in my head) and still conversate when needed with no issues. I am really sorry for this long review, I normally would not make one so long but I am really, really impressed with these. If you are thinking about getting them.. stop thinking and just do it! I promise you will not regret it! 2025 Edit - So its been over a year. These have been my everyday go to for work and they have never let me down. This week, halfway through my day, they unpaired from each other and no matter what I try, I can't get them paired back up :( For $30 though, what a steal! I was about to buy another pair but I stepped it up and bought the flash sale ones for $40! If anyone knows any tricks to get the old ones working again, please let me know

These are my new favorite earbuds. I can no longer wear the earbuds that go in my ears as they get very irritated. I was using Soundpeats for a long time but the pair I was using died. I decided to try these out as a replacement because they were on sale. The sounds quality is great. Music sounds great. My friends say the voice quality is great while we're doing video calls. I find the voice quality on my end just as great. They connect easily to Bluetooth & connect right back without fail to the last Bluetooth device I connected them to. (Only problem is that they do that & sometimes I forget if I use them with my phone to disconnect before going on my laptop.) Best of all is they last about 8 hours or more. My old earbuds never lasted anywhere near that long. These are ultra comfortable so much so that i forget that I have them on. I've left them on for like an hour after getting off a zoom meeting because I forgot they were there. They stay in place too, no matter how much I move around. The case is great too. It's sturdy & stays shut. It supplies about 3 full charges to the earbuds & charges via a USB-C cable which I just plug into my laptop. It shows the percentage charged of the case but not the earbuds. It does indicate when the earbuds are charging & when they're full. I think it takes about an hour or so to charge the earbuds. (Honestly I haven't times it because it's not often I use the full charge of them.) I bought another flavor of the Tozo open ear earbuds but I like these much much better even though the case is a bit larger. These have better sound quality and are more comfortable to wear. If you want to try it some affordable, high quality open ear earbuds then give these a try. I don't think you'll regret it.

If you're hunting a budget set of Bluetooth earbuds, the TOZO T12s are absolutely the best deal on the market! I'm not quite a true "audiophile", but I'm a music producer and own many a set of headphones and earbuds and plenty of speakers from the big names in high-quality audio including Klipsch, JBL, Audio Technica, Bose, Ultrasone, and others I'm probably forgetting. I'm not going to tell you these are some kind of magic bullet that outperforms any of those in terms of audio quality, but for the price? Wow, do they get a lot closer than you'd expect. The highs aren't tinny, the mids are present and clear, and the bass response is surprisingly solid, but not boomy either. Nothing groundbreaking, but for listening to Spotify at work? These will do everything you need and then some. I bought these expecting them to be a sort of in-betweener pair just so I could survive while I hunted for a fancier set, but I've quickly found that they check every box on my list and then some. As far as durability goes, I'm very impressed. I've held off on reviewing these because I wanted to see how they held up to the abuse I typically subject earbuds to, and so far they're doing exceptionally well. I primarily use these at work in an outdoor environment, and as a result, these earbuds see more abuse than most - I've dropped them onto concrete, stuck them in a back pocket to get smushed getting in and out of cars, been caught in the rain and left them out of their case overnight and even a few weekends over the few months I've had them and they just don't care, they still look brand-new and work perfectly, while others I've owned haven't managed to last even this long in the same environment. The case, by comparison, feels a little less durable, and so far has some scuffs and scratches from living most of its life in a work-vest pocket filled with various other tools. The top of the clamshell case has always felt slightly flimsy but has held up fine so far under hard use. I find that the charging logic of these headphones is also pretty intelligent. Coming off a set of much pricier JBL Bluetooth earbuds, these hold a charge far longer than they did even when brand new. I regularly listen for 4 hour stretches and only charge them during breaks and after my shift, and have yet to actually drain these earbuds whereas my JBLs would regularly die mid-shift. It seems as though the earbuds themselves have better internal batteries than what's in the case - I'm only able to get about two to three charges out of the case before it's dangerously low, but that's preferable to me than the opposite, where the case lasts forever but the earbuds are constantly needing recharged like the JBLs. I believe this has resulted a slightly heavier pair of earbuds than the norm, which may cause some people issues with fatigue or them falling out of your ears easier than others, but I find their weight to be a non-issue. I also like that the charging pins in the case are prominent, spring loaded, and easy to clean, which was another major failure point on the JBLs, and most of why I gave up trying to limp them along. Another factor that's easily overlooked with Bluetooth earbuds is simplicity. I just want them to work. I don't want to fiddle with an app, or set up any extra voice control features, or deal with firmware updates. I want them to pair automatically and start playing when I hit the button with no add-on garbage standing between me and my music. These do exactly that, zero extra complication. Of course, that means that there's no extra features like active noise canceling or EQs to adjust either, but I see it as a worthwhile price to pay for simplicity - you can EQ to your heart's desire in most audio players and I find that so far as noise canceling goes, the included tips are adequate for even (very) loud environments. Checking the battery level is easy enough on my phone while the earbuds are in use, and the LCD readout in the case works great to check its battery level as well rather than relying on inconsistent notifications to tell you the case battery level like my old JBLs. I generally don't use these earbuds for calls, but I have been called with these earbuds still paired a few times and the experience has been perfectly acceptable. The default setting in my phone with these earbuds paired uses the phone's mic versus the earbuds', but that works well given that the quality of these earbuds' mic isn't exactly top-notch. It is certainly functional, but don't plan on using these to record studio-ready vocals (not that you or I did in the first place.) I find this to be the area of these earbuds that perform most in-line with a $30 set of Bluetooth earbuds (i.e cheap.) Given that it's all going to get bounced off a few dozen cell towers and end up sounding like a tin-can-and-wire outfit regardless, nobody's going to lose any sleep over the T12s' built-in mic. If after all that and you're still on the fence, I say just go for it with these TOZO T12s. The value of these earbuds versus those costing literally double the price can't be understated - these will do the job and leave you impressed. Should I somehow manage to kill this set, I fully plan to buy another and I'll still feel like I got my money's worth.

Sound quality is very good when listening to music, videos, etc. Deep bass, crisp highs, I almost forgot they’re not actually in my ear, just sitting next to them. They feel like a quality product, nice materials fit and finish as every other TOZO product I’ve had. I got black ones, they have a nice contrast of gloss black and matte soft touch finishes. The case is nice looking, matte black with chrome TOZO lettering on the lid, with a nice opening and closing feel. The case is a bit larger than I’m used to having had several other TOZO earbuds previously(almost double what I’m used to) but not too large overall, about 3x3in square and roughly 1.5in tall. My previous TOZO earbuds had type c charging like this one, but also had wireless charging which these do not have. I like percentage battery life display on the front of the case compared to only dots or light flashes like some other models and brands. I also like that it shows you on the case like some of the other TOZO buds the state of charge of each earbud/earphone as well as the case percentage - those are in “battery lines” tho, but at least you can also see those in your phone anyway so they’re not necessary to have % displayed. If there’s not much ambient noise I can see them getting a bit annoying for others around you because they can kinda hear it too - like a VERY quiet Bluetooth speaker. Tried using the TOZO app as mentioned in the instructions to adjust the equalizer and sound settings, but I could not notice any difference in sound. No bass changed, no treble changed, it all sounded the same to me. Used some of the presets and also manually adjusted the EQ, but nothing I could notice changed. So far the calls I’ve tried to do with just the headphones are terrible. The sound I hear is very quiet - barely audible. Not sure on their end because I kept ggettong hung up on because I couldn’t hear them and they got tired of saying “yes I hear you”, so I had to switch to phone or loudspeaker. Their fit leaves something to be desired for me, I wear glasses and have longer hair - just to my shoulders so I can’t put it all in a pony tail properly. They keep getting tangled in my hair when trying to put them on and with the glasses they keep either fitting loose if the glasses are on the inside, or make my head hurt after a while because the glasses are outside of them and my head keeps getting squished. I also tried them without my glasses for a bit just to see how they fit and feel. They fit better around my ears, but again with longer hair they keep kinda being in the way. I guess that’s just the nature of AROUND the ear headphones vs OVER the ear headphones or earbuds IN the ear. I tuck my hair behind my ears so they keep getting tangled on the hair and, like with the glasses, it’s hard to put the hair behind my ear and if I put my hair back and then the headphones then they don’t quite fit right because the hair is there. It takes forever to put them on because I have to take off hat, glasses and move my hair around bunch of times and adjust the headphones like 3 times before they’re ok. Also anytime I have to readjust my hair or glasses I keep knocking them off my ears, partly because I’m still getting used to the earphones being there, and partly because they’re on loosely around the ears so they get really annoying quickly if I’m being active. I bet with short hair, or if your hair is long enough to fully keep in a pony tail, braids etc they would stay better. I understand they have to make a generic fit product, it can’t just be tailored specifically to only my ears, or they’d never sell any, and custom fit would be too complicated, expensive and time consuming. Overall they feel very light, and by themselves they feel somewhat comfortable but for me they feel very unstable like they’re going to just fall out any second. Not too tight around the ears so they don’t hurt my ears or my head, but still feel loose. I tried to use them with the silicone “braces” they provided(supposed to be for more active use, to help keep them in place more securely), but they feel even less secure in my ears. Because of the long hair and glasses they just don’t sit where they need to be, so they don’t “hook” properly in my ears and fall out every time I turn my head quickly and it’s not very pleasant or comfortable for me. I’ve noticed when I put them in the case they sometimes still just keep playing and sound like the world’s weakest Bluetooth speaker - which they kinda are by design…if you think about it. So I’ve had to keep checking they’re actually charging in the case, instead of in my pocket wasting battery.

I have purchased 2 pairs of these headphones. I thought I had lost the first set, and decided to purchase them again base d on the overall performance. I had purchased the black color (same style as the second pair) originally, but decided to go with the blue pair the second purchase. My notion was, if I happen to find the black pair ( I did happen to find them) I could differenciate the sets by color. I usually wear one at work because I am required to hear people and noises around me. They function very well with only one being utilized at a time, but I would say you do have to trade all functionality for finger to headphone operation. Flaws: The left side turns the volume down, the right has volume up function. The left side adujusts songs back to previous song, the right jumps to the next song. Other functions correlate with the same premise. I would like to adjust the functionality by assigning them to my preference and style of listening. I downloaded the app in hopes I could do something like this. I am not. In fact, the headphones tout you may adjust the equalizer within the app. The truth is, I downloaded the app, but was unsuccessful with using the equalizer at all. Every attempt I made to assign the equalizer was repeatedly received with the message stating "device not compatible." Note: the options from other users for equalizer settings was available, but when attempting to assign, I received the message as stated above Another problem with the app is preset specific equalizers for music, speech, instrumental, etc... were not options. The only way to get equalizers was to utilize the settings other app users presented, or to develop your own. I don't have the time, ear, or knowledge of equalizer/soundwaives to do all of that. I know basics like Hip Hope uses a lot of bass, Heavy Metal, more treble, my basic knowledge is not good enough for my personal devlopment. Future App Development, AKA App developer: I just want to pick Jazz, or Audio book, or Classical/Instrumental equalizers and the like by selecting a preset. Positives: Headphones sound exellent with the regular equalizer settings. Waterproof (I accidentally wore them in the shower) but must advise not to put wet earphones in the case-charger. I like the ability to adjust the earphones in and out, up and down. The earphones are comfortable. The black and blue colored ones are gender neutral. The case holds a 40 hour charge, and the earphones will sustain 12 hours of continual use. I usually listen with them for around 8 hours while I work. The connection within the charging case is wonderful. The Bluetooth connection is easy and is listed as Tozo. Once they are connected, within Bluetooth a message expains device is paired to phone, and music. While using only one headphone, I am able to answer my phone, and disconnect. I can also hear when notifications like texts arrive. I don't often check my phone, hear, or feel vibration when I receive a text and it may take a whole day before I discover I received one. The phone helps me check the phone more often, when I may be needed. I really like how easy pressing the earphones is. I often have to touch them to pause my amazon music stream while I interact with other people at work. One touch, pauses the thing and another unpauses. When I wear them while mowing my lawn or tilling, I can hear the music while the motor noise is diminished substanially. I love that. Overall: I wish I could program the functions into each headphone. Standard Equalizer needs to offer professional manufuactured options (not only other users equalizer preferences and development. You really have to listen to a lot with the music you enjoy to find one that works. Too much work in my opinion. Was unable to connect the headphones to even another users equalizer offerings. I really like these.

I have headphones in all the time. Whether i'm working out, driving, riding my bike, or running errands I am always listening to a podcast or book or music or youtube video. Problem is I want to be able to hear the world around me while also not blasting my audio for everyone to hear. What I've been doing for the last few years that has worked fairly well is just that I only wear one earbud most of the time. It wasn't a great solution because it reduced sound quality, felt a bit uncomfortable, and occasionally led to me having to take the earbud out entirely to talk to someone only at best accidentally play 5 min of my audiobook to my pocket or at worst accidentally leaving my earbud there and having to replace the set. That was, until I found "open ear" headphones. Of course, Tozo is basically the go-to bang-for-your-buck brand for earbuds on Amazon, so I picked up a pair. And these things are awesome! The sound is great and they do exactly what I need, giving me the ability to hear the world around me while having sound coming to both ears and never having to take them off. My only complaints, all of which are very minor are: 1. they do not work AT ALL for me without the rubber holders. They fall right off as soon as I tilt my head. Maybe I have weird ears but idk how anyone could use the min the "stock" configuration. However with the rubber holders on they are more secure than any in ear headphone I've used. Haven't fallen off once yet despite lifting and running in them. After a few hours of continuous wearing my ears do start to hurt a little bit from the pressure, but that's only because I'm wearing them longer than any other headphone I've had so I can live with it. 2. Getting them to pause/play is a little tricky. Maybe I'm just too used to my old headphones but after a week I still struggle to give it the right amount of pressure to pause/play consistently. 3. They aren't able to be wirelessly charges. I knew this going in, but would be nice! All in all, if you're looking for the best "bang for your buck" headphones on Amazon, Tozo are the choice to make. And if you are looking for the ability to listen to music etc while also hearing the world around you when running, biking, lifting, driving, or doing errands, these OpenEgo's are the choice to make!

I bought a set of the OpenBuds in March, 2024 and have really enjoyed them; I live in a downtown neighborhood, and when I'm using these doing the roadwork portion of my workouts the situational awareness that open-ear earbuds provide are really necessary for me. As a woman with a smaller-than average head, neck, and ears, the OpenBuds were a great alternative to bone-conduction headsets, which rarely fit me snugly enough to stay in place. And I always have problems making in-ear earbuds stay during a workout - even with memory foam eartips - so the over-ear clip was always going to be a winner for me. When I saw this upgrade, I thought I'd give them a try. Much like I found with the OpenBuds, the sound quality is great, and they pair really nicely with my phone. However, no matter how I adjust them - even with the provided stabilizers - they simply will not stay in place during workouts. I have to wear a headband to keep them in place, which I don't mind doing with in-ear earbuds, but the large hook piece for the back of the ear makes that really uncomfortable. If I hook them with the hook set closer to my lobe, the sound isn't as optimal as it is if I push it closer to mid-ear. Basically, this is a fit issue - if they don't fit your ear shape, then they simply aren't going to work well for you. So I'll save these for just ambling around the neighborhood, but for workouts, I've gone back to my OpenBuds since they're more secure. So I'm giving these 2 stars - I think these are a decent brand of earbuds, but this form factor isn't the best. Update, 3/17/26: This morning I received an e-mail from the seller, letting me know they refunded my purchase price on these! I did NOT expect that at all and it's really appreciated. Especially considering I've had them for 3 months now so I'm pretty sure that's outside of the return window. After I initially posted this, I actually bought the OpenWear buds - with a more traditional hook, I'm finding they fit much better - so I'm really pleased with the customer service. (I'll review those eventually, but I like to use them a while before I do.) So I'm upping this review to 3 stars, based on this very positive customer service experience. I still stand by this being an awkward form factor that may not suit everyone's ears, but am otherwise pleased with the functionality of my over-ear TOZO earbuds, and pleasantly surprised the seller reads the reviews and wanted to make me happier with my purchase.

Kudos to the good folks over at TOZO for once again attempting to match/best everyone else in the latest earbud fad, ‘Open Ear’ style headphones. Lots of things to like about the Open Ego (although the name isn’t one of them), and several things to not get too awfully excited about. Like SONY and many others typically associated with high/higher-end personal listening products, TOZO offers an app which includes a parametric equalizer so you can add a touch of custom tuning these open-air buds if you wish, or you may choose from any of several pre-EQ’d settings within the app, or you can just play ‘em straight w/o the app at all. Using the app, I was able to tune these to a pleasant-but-not-incredible sound profile. Low end is somewhat accentuated, more by the over-emphasized separation characteristics of these buds (not unlike other, similar products), but the true low-end reproduction does not really exist as one might hope, even with the lower bands of the EQ in the app heavily emphasized, and some of the highs & mids de-emphasized as well, just to help the low end eke out a bit more. Another part of the problem which contributes to the lack of low end (bass) response is the general fit of the buds against the side of the ear. While these buds offer an increased driver size (especially when compared to other, similar buds in its price range — which is a plus), if you happen to be wearing reading glasses or sunglasses, it’ll likely affect the way the device rests on your ear (since the small area at the top of your ear has to bear the presence of both the glasses frame and the hook for the earbuds), and will most likely negatively impact the audible perception of the low end reproduction. This is due to the additional physical separation (read: “distance”) between the driver and your ear which is partially caused by the presence of the glasses frame. Without glasses, you’ll stand a better chance of a more solid & pleasing low-end presence, albeit still somewhat lackluster in general. [NOTE: TOZO includes a pair of soft rubber sleeves to fit around each of the ends of the buds in an effort to assist with grip/positioning at/around the ear. Didn't work at all for me & made no difference in the perceived sound from the buds. Seemed a bit gimmicky.] As for the rest of the sound, it’s crisp, clear & clean, nice accuracy/quality with a slightly, over-emphasized separation. Some of that can be cleaned up a bit by futzing with the EQ settings in the app. (Love the app!) Play/Pause commands by touching either earpiece once is darn handy. Since there’s nowhere near enough clamping pressure on your ears, you’ll still hear outside noises, almost as if you weren’t wearing earbuds at all. (Not a bad thing — just takes a little getting used to) Depending on your preference (or hopes), this may/may not be a big deal. Just remember, it’s not specifically designed to cancel noise. It’s made to allow whatever noises there are nearby to be heard along side whatever you’re listening to thru the buds. Great for walking, biking, pretty much any activity where situational awareness could be at least important, much less life-saving. They'll serve you quite well under these circumstances. Didn’t get a chance to test the microphones on calls. Traditionally, mics on earbuds leave much to be desired. (Just ask the folks on the other end of the call for their ‘honest’ opinion!) And, with these buds being ‘open air’, one might even assume there could be a small chance for a feedback loop to be created with the mics located just the other side of the speakers. (I, for one, will never know firsthand!) Generally, these are pretty nifty and function nicely, especially for the price. TOZO makes a high quality product. Always has. Just don’t expect too much low end & you’ll probably like ‘em a whole big bunch!

Da ich täglich stundenlang Musik und Podcasts höre, aber nicht die ganze Zeit InEar Buds tragen möchte, habe ich diese Open Buds ausprobiert. Tozo ist ja bereits seit Jahren ein Schwergewicht auf dem Markt, und diese Erfahrung merkt man auch den OpenEgo an, sowohl in Soundqualität, als auch im Handling. Hier ist einfach alles durchdacht und so bin ich das mittlerweile auch von Tozo gewöhnt. Wirklich toll ist, dass man mit der Service App von Tozo nicht nur das Handling der Buds (Tastenfunktionen), sondern auch den Klang nach Wunsch ändern kann. Android hat ja leider keinen globalen Equalizer, mit dem man App-übegreifend den Klang ändern kann (was mich schon oft geärgert hat). Das löst man mit der Tozo App ganz bequem - einfach den Klang der Buds dort nach Wunsch einstellen, die Settings werden dann in die Buds hochgeladen und der Klang bleibt permanent genau so, wie man es möchte, auch wenn die Tozo App gerade nicht läuft. Und da man die Tastenfunktionen frei anpassen kann, kann man sie auch komplett deaktivieren, so dass man nicht ständig etwas verstellt, wenn man versehentlich an die Buds fässt. So muss das sein, da sollten sich andere Hersteller mal was abgucken. Außerdem kann man mit der App ganz easy die Firmware der Buds aktualisieren, falls es mal Neuerungen geben sollte. Der Klang ist natürlich, wie von Tozo gewohnt, allererste Sahne. Schöne warme Bässe, klare Höhen. Blechern klingt hier überhaupt nichts, das Klangbild ist wirklich premium. Die Batterlaufzeit habe ich noch nicht ausreizen können, aber keine Tozos, die ich bisher hatte, liefen weniger als 3.5-4 Stunden. Das ist locker drin. Das Aufladen in der Box geht ebenfalls sehr flott. Sehr schön auch: die LED-Anzeige an der Front der Ladebox, die den aktuellen Ladestand der Box und der einzelnen Buds zeigt. Der Sitz ist perfekt, selbst beim Radeln, joggen oder bei heftigem Sport kommt man nicht mal in die Nähe der Gefahr, dass man sie verliert. Die sitzen bombig. Zu bemängeln gibt es hier nichts. Mit den OpenEgo man wirklich nichts falsch und sie sind eine perfekte Alternative für alle, die ihren Ohren mal Frischluft gönnen und nicht ständig InEars tragen möchten.

音声抜群だけど 私の耳が小さいかな、ちょっと、でも買って良かったです

Los openEgo de Tozo me han sorprendido tanto en comodidad ( parece que no llevas puesto nada en la oreja) como en la calidad de sonido que es más que excelente. He probado varios open air y estos superan a todos muy mucho, incluso a los openbuds de Tozo. He leído algunos comentarios en los que dicen que los bajos están presentes pero no destacan tanto , si en el modelo openbuds. He de decir que estos auriculares vienen de fábrica con un sonido neutro, pero en la app viene la regulación de los bajos para aumentarlos y muchos modos de equalizacion. Una vez los configuras son insuperables . La calidad de sonido hifi es fascinante tanto los bajos como los medios y altos. Es un sonido nítido, brillante y profundo como si llevaras unos auriculares cerrados ( probablemente el diámetro del altavoz juega un papel importante al ser mayor que en la mayoría de los open air) pero escuchas lo que pasa a tu alrededor. En definitiva son excelentes y se nota la calidad de fabricación
