Very good read...well written....accurate and suspenseful!
This book I really liked. I read it once and then a few months later I read it again. I have read most of the LCN type books pertaining to the New England area. The parts of this book that I especially enjoyed were when the author was telling the stories about when the FBI was trying to install the listening devices in the Angulio office in the North End of Boston. The freezing cold nights, the many local people that the Angulio brothers had looking out for them, and the suspense, hard work, and determination of it all. The author did such a great job I felt like I was on Prince Street trying to avoid the Angulio's myself. Being from the area I had seen some of the Angulio's around and they feared no one. They might have been small in stature but they made it up in confidence, arrogance, and fear. (Due to the many soldiers they could summon at the drop of a dime) Some people might think that the stories about these guys are a lot of B.S. but believe me they are not. These guys are the real deal.I thought the book was very well written and would recommend it.

Very Good Stofy
If you lived in New England through the 60's 70's and 80's all the names will be familiar to you. This is close up look at how the GNU finally defeated the Boston Mafia especially the Anguilo family. Very interesting read...

Captivating
This is a can't put down book. A well written book which not only outlines the characters but each and every role they played. It shows how good law enforcement officers with dedication to their work can complete a desired mission.

The 'Other Boston Mob"
We've heard a lot about South side of Boston's Whitey Bulger's crowd. In this book meet the Mafia which controlled the North side of Boston. It's a very well done look at the inner workings of the North End as well as the State of Mass. and the extent to which the north side influenced the Boston scene. It's an informative and interesting book.

typical mafia book
Not much on originality. Typically written mafia book. Was hoping for more especially since it was New England based

Very detailed account of the undoing of the Boston mob
Well written account (with minor factual errors) of how Jerry Angiulo ran Boston while Raymond Patriarca sat back, watched and continued to collect his unfair share from the comfort of his Providence HQ. As once again proven by this tale, it's easy to be tough and much more difficult to be smart.
