Very good historical series
Encanto de Aguila is a very good historical series. The DVD version seems to have been trimmed down from the original broadcast version (not that many episodes on the disks), but as I never saw the original complete, I'm not sure. In any event, it is very good. Relatively accurate historically, very high production values, and good acting. Comparing it to some of the other Mexican historical series like Senda de Gloria, Vuelo de Aguila, Gritos de Muerte y Libertad, and Antorcha Encendida, it comes off very well. Senda de Gloria covers the same period, and is much more detailed, but not quite as high production value. It is a worthwhile trade-off, I think. Even though encanto kind of rushes through some bits, it is very easy to watch, and very enjoyable.

O.K considering cost and length of feature.
It was not bad considering the cost and the length of the feature. It left out some critical details that I felt should have been include. A major one was the murders of President Madero and his brother. No details of this was included.

If you have ever wondered about Mexican history.. this is it!
This movie really breaks down the history of Mexico and touches on a lot of history that Mexico's afluent society has tried to hide. Great Movie and very sharp

I purchased this dvd for my husband, who is really into mexican history, he was very pleased and thought it stuck pretty close to the truth.
