Intelligentsia Coffee, Medium Roast Whole Bean Coffee - Black Cat Analog 12 Ounce Bag

I've been brewing this in my Aeropress for a while now, and it's become a favorite. this is a lovely coffee -- velvety smooth, slightly sweet, creamy flavor with perfect notes of brightness. it's not too dark, not too acidic, not too *anything.* deep without bitterness, crisp without too much acidity. very quaffable! medium roast, great packaging, no woody, dank or off-notes. the bag seals back up easily. check the roasting date when you get yours to make sure it's fresh (although I think the kinks have been ironed out here). grind right before brewing. I think you'll be happy.

Ordered it on a whim, then read the reviews and wasn't sure what to think. The coffee arrived, the "best by" date is 4 months away, so.. not super fresh but not expired. Then I made a couple pots.. I love it! I'd give it an A, definitely. No complaints, wonder how much better it would be if it were fresh. I'm considering making it a go to favorite.

I love this coffee. It is my go-to every single morning. The tasting notes of chocolate and marshmallow come through boldly. The pour from the portafilter is exceptional. I have one negative hence why I gave 4 stars. I have been buying this bean for 2 years. It seems once or twice a year it DOUBLES in price. I typically pay $11 per bag and get a 3pk bundle for $33 and tax USD. But several times I come to purchase my next supply and it's $19.99 a bag and $59.99 for a 3pk! That's insane- upsetting. I understand it can be supply and demand and the time of year- I suppose. But it's 6AM, I went to order my coffee and I'm not paying $20 for 11oz of beans. (mini rant over)

This is absolutely my new favorite coffee. I use it with the Toddy System for cold Brew. Its. So. Good. You must have this coffee! The taste is amazing! It is a little on the expensive side for me, but since I no longer get brew at the coffee shops its worth it to me!

We were gifted this coffee and enjoyed it so much we purchased it for ourselves. I’ve tried many, many coffee beans for espresso and this is one of my favorite brands. It’s not overly expensive but has a great taste. I’ve found a lot of other coffee brands around this price range to be oily and/or burnt beyond reason. These have a great taste without feeling like they’re overly flavored with a bunch of additives.
