So Far Works as Advertised

So far, so good. I'm still experimenting with this things so bare with my current results:I cannot speak to the durability of this item as I've only had it a short time. It arrived well and appears to be well constructed. I dry it before putting it back into the case and it gets packed into my 750 ml camping pot along with a cricket stove and fire kit.The slot at the bottom of the plate is very useful. I've cut out a piece of stainless to use as a handle for setting this on and taking it off of hot coals. It's also served as as an additional heat shield for the cord.It works very well on a cricket stove too but that's rather self-defeating unless you need an emergency charge. My favorite method of use aside from charging a battery pack from what's left of an open fire, is a stick stove. This also works very well and given enough time, you can fully charge your phone burning nothing but sticks and twigs. I'm considering using a small copper plate that is slightly larger than the base to use over these small stoves.Current draw readings were unreliable but I was seeing a 1% increase in total battery power on a Galaxy S7 starting at 67%, every minute to minute and a half with the screen brightness set to half and always on.Any other time, I use it to add to the charge of a 10,000 mAh portable charge pack when heat is convenient. This pack is used in-turn to charge other devices. The whole setup even if you include the collapsible stick stove and battery (not included) weighs slightly less than older Biolite stove and packs down smaller.Note: Dropping the occasional ice cube into this after it's got a rolling boil going, really makes it send the juice. I'm looking forward to trying this out in the winter time. I expect performance to increase some.

works great

Just got this and tried it on my kitchen stove. It didn't work well because I didn't dare turn the flame up high enough to have it create current. Your typical kitchen burner has a wide flame surface and you risk damaging the silicone bowl and cable if the flame go up the sides. So I tried it on my small backpack stove and it worked great. Only issue is when I tried to charge my iphone directly it said it was not a compatible device and would stop charging. It charged a battery pack just fine.It seems to only create power while at a pretty good boil. This doesn't seem to allow you to get it to work over a camp fire so it requires you to bring and use precious fuel. I don't think this would be ideal for backpackers as it would require you to run your cookstove for 100 minutes (if the rate of 1% battery charging per minute is accurate) to charge a dead phone battery. I am thinking a solar charger and external battery pack may be a better way to go. Trickle charge all day and utilize the battery pack at night to charge.Nice design and looks well built. Cool concept

The jury is in.

Better than Japan's 'Cup Charger', better than America's 'Power Pot' and the 'Stower Candle Charger' because it is far more portable. Why aren't you guys a household name yet again? No, that is a serious question. Why.Above-and-beyond excellence. The thing's bulletproof AND efficient, and I am confident that the S. Korean manufacturer would stand behind this excellently-made piece of solid state technology. Money well spent! And thank you!

Seems to work just fine.

Used it once, seems like it will work just fine. I used it on top of my biolite stove(burns twigs, small sticks, ect). As long as the water is boiling it works great.Charging Galaxy S20, I phone 12 pro? Very very slow. Again I used it on my biomass stove, water was boiling. Worked great for USB light set.My only frustration is the cord sticks out of the top of the silicone. It's short. So when you plug in USB it's easy to have it fall near the heat. I Jimmy rigged a metal hook to keep it up out of the way.If you are a serious back packer, this product is small but heavy. I have the Biolite biomass stove. Its lighter, seems yo produce more power.Overall, I am happy, it produces power to charge newer phones, albeit very, very slow. It works great for USB LED lights.

love it.

I just sent an email to the company asking if they could ship me one of these generators and a very polite guy named Daesung helped me. I have not tried this yet but I love its size and its abilities to charge small electronics when I have no alternatives. I already own a goal zero nomad 7 + Guide 10, a suntactics 5w charger, a small wind generator and even a k-tor hand crank but this one completes by bug out bag. There is a review video on youtube that you can refer to. I recommend this to all gadget freaks like me, you'll love it.
