GOOD NIGHT SIGHTS
These were the OEM sights on my H&K USP 45. They started losing their brightness (as all tritium sights do) over time. The original set lasted 17 years, which is pretty good for tritium sights. I've been gunsmithing for more than 30 years and these sights were easy for me to install. If you are going to install them yourself use a sight pusher. Don't hammer and tap them in. It's possible to damage the tritium tubes if you don't know what you're doing.

Pull the trigger! Pun intended...
Best sights I've used to date. I've been shooting handguns since I was a teenager, way before I knew about swapping sights and just shot with whatever was mounted to whatever gun I could get my hands on to shoot. Joining the military, spending some time with special operations, becoming an avid shooter and a firm supporter and exercising my right to concealed carry I began to appreciate a good set of purpose built sights. Adjustable, thin blade target sights to quick acquisition sights to night sights or various combos and attempted combos, I've had the opportunity to try quite the variety. With my newly acquired vp9 and it's lackluster attempt at a decent set of self defense/combat sights I began the hunt... After some time bouncing around various forms and seeing what the latest and greatest new fangled gadgetry was being run by the guys in the know the trijicon HDs became a reoccurring theme. After narrowing the hunt, I read review after review and the only negative aspect that I could see was trying to decide between the Orange or yellow. They both 'pop' extremely well and the only thing I could base my decision off of came down to the foliage in my neck of the woods... originally I was going to order the yellow as it seemed to grab my eye better, at least from my internet searching as no stores in the area had them in stock for me to get my hands on. After taking my neck of the woods into account I settled on Orange as it seems to have more contrast over the naturally occurring foliage here as well as some shooters reporting it was easier to pick up in bright daylight.Acquisition is very fast, nice big bright dot to get you focused in on that front sight in a hurry, nice wide u-notch the rear to help plant the dot on target. With only about 100 rounds shot with them so far Im shooting equally as well, if not a bit better, at range even with the giant front dot and wide rear notch. Add to that the phosphorescent paint to aid in high to low light transitions and give your eyes the extra assistance needed to adjust to the bright tritium dots, a steep step on the rear sight to rack the slide one handed and these sights are a win all around.Highly recommended, great purchase, no regrets.

Nearly Perfect Medium Range Combat Night Sights
Trijicon has for years made the best handgun sights out there. These continue the tradition of high quality and design. I think these are designed as a good medium range sight. The colored front sight allows for rapid, close quarters acquisition. The matching of the front and rear also allow for pretty good distance aiming. The ledge on the rear sight allows for one handed manipulation of the slide against an object in the event you loose use of one hand. These are replacing the luminous (light charged) factory sights. Overall these are slightly taller, but not to any detrimental extent. I have a similar set of Trijicons on my Glock 19 and they have been equally great. The only 'con' to these sights are that the top rear of the sight has a sharp angle at the back. If you are really trying, you can lacerate some skin. The sights for the H&K weren't too sharp, but my Glock slights were down right dangerous. A little sanding with a fine metal file or stone does the trick. I guess when you are picky like me, nothing is ever quite right straight out of the box. Even the P30SK that I put them on was tweaked. .I broke my universal sight pusher getting the factory sights off. If you get a sight pusher, get one that is specifically made for or comes with specific inserts for the P30 series of H&K pistols. I ended up using a bench vice, brass punch and 10 ounce hammer to drive the factory sights off and the new ones on. If you are not handy with tools or experienced in replacing sights, definitly use a sight pusher or have a gunsmith do the work. You will probably need to file down the new sights to fit. Do this filing conservatively and with patience. The rear sight needed the most fitting by removing material from the front of the mating surface. When using the punch, ALWAYS push(tap) the bottom of the sight lest you can break the sights.

Easy and fast sight acquisition...
Sights are nice. They fit as expected and glow as expected. Use a good sight pusher to install, don't want to pop or smash the glow cylinders. Sights are tactical, fast, sight picture. This to me means I can easily hit a target regularly but don't have precision. You'll hit a 5 inch target at 15 yards regularly but you may not hit the center of that target... the front sight is large enough so expect that it will cover the target when looking down the slide. There is another option that has a smaller front sight that will work better for bullseye target practice. Both are good, what is your application? Target practice or defense?

Better than the pictures
I installed these sights on an HK USP9 compact and they fit perfectly. I'm delighted to say that the sight picture is better than all the photos indicate. I ordered the yellow rather than the orange and the giant yellow dot on the front stands out brilliantly with the U shaped rear sight letting it settle in like it's sitting in it's favorite chair. These sights are very easy to align and there seems to be just enough air between the front sight blade and the rear to have a crisp sight picture without feeling crowded. Needless to say that the original sights that came with the gun we just "blah" to me...these sights may return this gun to my top 5 list of favorites and desirous to carry again.
