Will it chop green peppers? I bought another brand that would not cut through the skin of green peppers.

Yes. I have cut apples, peppers, and all sorts of veggies and fruits! Evil hard boiled eggs but you have to press gently or it will smash them. This thing is awesome !

Why does the manual state the chopping blades are not suitable for tomatoes?

Because the blades on the mandolin qare non serrated blades. A non serrated knife does not cut tomatoes smooth, it will basically smush them!

Does this machine also slice tomatoes, cucumbers etc.?

It slices about anything - except it turns tomatoes into mush when you chop them.

Is it dish washer safe?

Yes, I put mine on the top rack of dishwaher and no problems. The user manual states you can wash in dishwasher.

schnell mal einen Salat.... oder Gemüsepfanne ..

yeay, das war ein guter Kauf erleichtert sie Salatzubereitung ungemein. Ratz Fatz ist alles fertig. Es funktioniert alles prima. Habe damit schon Gurkenspagetti gemacht, funktioniert auch wunderbar. Die Qualität ist gut, hab natürlich noch keinen Langzeittest gemacht, aber es scheint stabil zu sein. Es ist auf jeden fall ein gute günstige Alternative.
