Q: Do you wash container before adding spices ?

I did, but don't buy this device. I bought two of them and it was a bad investment. Broke off the carousel mount (both of them, right around the return expired). Containers not tightly sealed, every spice became moist. Good idea bad execution.

No, good idea and a terrible execution of product and support.

Q: What's the difference between select-a-spice classic and select-a-pro?

I don't have it anymore it was not a good product at all
