I also have a dog at home so if it didn't work it wouldn't be completely wasted. The only thing I could find was that it might leave a faint bleach smell afterwards (better than cat urine!). I soaked the whole shoe with this cleaner. Shoes were suede so there was a concern about color distortion but there were no issues with it. Anyway, this spray did the trick! I could not believe it. There was still a faint smell of bleach, probably because I sprayed so much of it on the shoe, but now I can wear them without feeling self conscious about smelling like cat pee (and I don't even own a cat). Anyway, this spray WORKS!
