Pricey but good - synthetics are literally squeak clean!
I was recommended this detergent to remove odors. I think it did an ok job on really tough odors (soaking in high concentration vinegar was much more effective) but my synthetics are literally squeaky clean and they are static free, which I've not experienced. So I'd say this is an excellent product at a premium price. I can get twice the number of loads at 1/3 price with Costco Free & Clear but Hex is like treating myself to a little luxury here and there!

I'm impressed
I was desperate enough to risk what could easily have been overpriced soap, but it actually does work to get my rashguards and ski socks clean. Now they don't grow that locker funk after a few days in the drawer. Hex also seems to have gotten the mildew smell out of a pair of jeans that had been left in the washer. One word of advice - do not mix colors the first time you wash a garment with this stuff. Even though my rashguard was very faded from sun and washing and was normally safe to wash with everything, this managed to lift some unfixed dye and leave me with pink socks. This has not been a problem once past that first load, and it does not seem to fade coloured garments generally. In other words - the detergent did what it was supposed to - I just didn't believe enough! The unscented product does leave a very faint sweetish smell a little like chalky candy. I only notice it when my face is buried in the fabric, and it doesn't give me headaches, so that works for me.

Great Product! Terrible Packaging!
This product is wonderful for cleaning athletic wear. Eliminated odors and stains. It has a pleasant scent. The new packaging is awful! Too big for my hand and it runs down the side of the bottle after pouring. I have deducted one star for the packaging.

So much better than I dared to hope for
I'm still struggling to believe that there is a product on the market that actually does what it says, and more. But, every time I think this detergent has met it's match, it comes out on top. Un-friggin-believable!!! I'm a yoga teacher, and a personal trainer. I teach a lot of hot yoga, and live in Florida...a lot of sweat happens. I was tired of having to buy new activewear so incredibly frequently, so I took a chance on Hex and gave it a shot. So not sorry!! After a class, my clothes are so wet that you can wring the sweaty grossness out with the gentlest squeeze. I sometimes change outfits 5 times during a day. Since I'm working for 8 to 10hrs every day, the clothes sit in that grossness for hours before I even have the opportunity to get them into the laundry. Naturally, they get smelly, and I thought that was just the way things had to be because NO OTHER detergent, booster, or additive took care of the lingering smell, post wash and dry. I could maybe use a new shirt for a month before it became unbearable, and unwearable. No more!! Not only does this completely clean and refresh my workout gear same-day.....but, I tested it out on old workout gear that I thought was just permanently stinky and dead to me.....and, it completely took out all of the "whatever" that would cause it to stink the moment it was exposed to body heat. I have reclaimed literally thousands of dollar worth of workout gear that I love dearly. My new go-to detergent is Hex, for as long as the company exists, I will only use Hex for all of my tech fabrics and activewear - because it actually works. Like a dream. Seriously. I use Hex detergent and then any Citric acid based rinse (Downy Rinse & Refresh - which works great, although you can just make your own with citric acid powder.....so much better than vinegar with no pickly after-stink) Thank you Hex for saving my clothing!!

Have I been living under a rock....?!
This product works so well that I am almost suspicious: are the underlying chemicals turning me into a mutant?! OK, I am a 230 lb fattie who exercises 2-3 hours/day, sometimes in 100F heat. In other words, I sweat like a pig (unfair to pigs actually since I inevitably SOAK my exercise clothes far beyond what any pig could sweat). I was stinking to the point of having to soak my clothes in detergent DURING my post-exercise shower...then using the most powerful wash setting in the washing machine with DOUBLE the amount of typical detergent...and sometimes even then I had to do a second round in the washing machine with another cup of detergent. In other words, I was pushing my old detergent to the limits, and it wasn't getting it done. I used about 5-6 tablespoons (i.e., a miniscule amount) of HEX with a WEEK's worth of the grossest, sweat-drenched exercise clothes on the planet on the LOWEST, cold-water wash setting, and, within 20-30 minutes, the clothes were the cleanest they've been since I bought them. Hence why I am now skeptical...it works too well. Is it dissolving my skin now?! Anyway, assuming it doesn't kill me, this is the most incredible detergent I've ever bought, and I don't think I will ever go back to "regular" laundry detergent. From the label, this is apparently SAFER for you and BETTER for the environment, and if that is indeed the case, this detergent will replace all others within 5-10 years. To emphasize its magic even further. Today, I went for a grueling jog, stunk like hell, came back, and, as I was about to take a shower, I noticed my bottle of Hex was open. As I went to close it, I splattered some on my hands. Not wanting to waste it, I rubbed it on the front of my gross, sweaty shirt. After a few hours (having forgotten this), I went to do laundry, and I noticed that the front of my jogging shirt (where I rubbed the Hex) smelled totally fine/clean/like new. The back (where I did NOT rub any Hex in) smelled atrocious. I have no idea how it works so well, and I almost don't want to know!

While I do like the cleaning aspect of the Hex laundry product I find the cost of the product to be excessive. I find that one Hex pod is suitable for small loads but “my normal” load while not large, does require 2 pods for proper cleaning. I live in Canada and the cost of Hex (from Amazon) works out to be $1.65 Cdn per pod or $3.30 Cdn per load. So while I like the quality of the product I find the price excessive and will be switching to a different product in the future.

Doesn't work. This is just a soppy stuff. Doesn't work as expected. Not recommended. Doesn't remove odours or smell as advertised. Tried washing twice and there was no change in smell. Not even a bit. False advertising and useless product. Never expected such a useless product for this high price.
