Of the 3 back braces I have, this is the least supportive and the arm straps do very very little. I thought they would feel more like the brace I wore when I had a broken collarbone that really forced my shoulders back, but these are basically thick suspenders. Having them there kind of reminds me to try to sit up straighter, but if I let myself slump my weight can easily overpower the support.
