Dishwasher Salt, 1 Kg (Pack of 1)

If your dishwasher has a salt dispenser and you have hard water, you need this salt. Usually priced well and works great at preventing hard water marks on dishes. We bought a new Bosch dish washer and found terrible spots on the glasses. I read the manual and found we had a salt dispenser for hard water. Works like a cham.

We have medium-hard water in our area, and using this salt with the water softener built into our dishwasher really helps to keep our dishes spot-free. We used to have issues with streaking from certain dishwasher detergents and that problem is resolved as well. Long term I am hoping it will extend the life of the appliance. And for the amount of dishes we wash, the 3 pack seems to be the right size and has lasted quite a while. Would buy again without a doubt!

Came as shown. About the size of a smaller snack size bag of chippies. Our portable dishwasher needed half a bag so we still have another half to use later! We have hard water so this helps alot with softening it and helping with residue. I cant say much on worth, if i saw this in the store for this much, I'd probably go with a cheaper brand. But with how it looks and the packaging and convenience, it was worth it to us!

Like the small bags because they are easy to handle when loading dishwasher salt holder. Also easy and flexible to store. Works well to stop hard water spotting. However cost is higher per ounce than other brands and larger boxes.

About a year ago I got my new Bosch dishwasher and it was the first machine that used water softening salt. Bosch recommend Finish products and when I looked at the cost of the salt it was only slightly more expensive than a no brand salt. Also, the packages contain 1 kg which is the exact amount the reservoir in my dishwasher takes when it's empty. I purchased a three pack for $21 and was happy with the product. Several months later I made a second purchase and it was even less expensive (still slightly more expensive than a generic brand name) but certainly worthwhile. My latest purchase was made because Alexa alerted me that the salt was at a new low price. Although I don't need it immediately, salt has basically a shelf life of forever so I ordered it planning to put the latest shipment aside. Boy was I surprised when instead of receiving three packets I only received one. By the way the price only slightly less than I had paid previously for three packets, at $17. Now the price between Finish and a generic are wide apart and I will never order Finish salt again.Most disturbing about this is that when I look back at my previous orders in the Amazon app there is no indication that they previously supplied three times as much. It turns out the receipts that are on file reflect the description of the current product not the previous product. When a manufacturer the decides to supply 1/3 as much as they used to and changes the description your old order reflects that product description. This is incredibly deceiving. By the way although the description reflects one package the graphic of what you receive still shows three packages which again is very misleading particularly to people who've ordered it in the past. I hope this review helps people to decide if they really want to spend this kind of money for one package of dishwasher salt.
