These tapioca pearls are nice! They boil nicely and are great for my sago pudding. I have also left them soaked in brown sugar syrup for 20 minutes and it tasted like boba tea boba which was nice. They were nice, soft, and bouncy!

They are not the quick cooking tapioca and will need to be soaked like uncooked beans.

I have had a hanker'n for boba tea every since one of my friends turned me on to it recently. Although I like the benefits of going to the local restaurant to get Boba, the cost, time to wait, and overall consistency of the product made really was off-putting. I opted to look for recipes and try to make them at home for a fraction of the cost and to the consistency I like them.I tried this as a free product in turn, I am leaving this review.Pro's:Product is easy to order and arrived quicklyThe quantity ordered is impressive, the weight alone for the price makes this a good option to use at home.Con's:The Boba itself is remarkable small, granted they swell some when mixed and cooked in accordance to the directions, but overall they were much smaller than the ones I am used to.It's consistency is variable, some of the boba seemed almost crunchy, others were much softer - I cooked/allowed the boba to sit and mixed it thoroughly prior to preparation in the drink.As far as the taste, there really isn't much "taste" to it, but that is expected. The product did not cause me any discomfort nor did I have any stomach issues after consuming it. The drink itself was very good, however, as stated in the cons; the constitution, fluctuation in soft/hard/crunchy left me a little puzzled. I would recommend this item as the cost to product amount is really decent, but would urge caution for the aforementioned issues I had with it.Overall, I am glad I hade the option to try it, I may or may not continue to use it, as I am currently trying other options as well, and ultimately the main reason I am buying is to satisfy a craving, not a need.
