This is a great Chromebook with a nice screen. I love it - it is so much faster than the last one I owned. Battery life is good.

I am using it right now to write this review. I used one just like this as a school teacher. Only regret is that I did not get the touch screen.

no backlit keyboard
Everything about this Chromebook is great. All that I was looking for except one thing.... NO backlit keyboard, despite it being listed in the description.

Happy with this new Chromebook
This is my 2nd Chromebook, I purchased this one to replace my old one which quit working after I dropped it, if that didn't happen, it would still be working. This one arrived in perfect condition and I charged it up before using it for the first time. Like magic, I logged into my Google account, and everything loaded right onto this new laptop, I didn't have to do a thing, very easy to set up. The only thing that didn't automatically sync with the new chromebook, were my downloads. I believe I need to take some extra steps to retrieve them because the old one has a black screen due to the drop. It turns on, but I can't view anything, so it may not be possible to retrieve them at all. It picked up my printer automatically and works well with my Brother laser printer, no connectivity issues there. So far, this new Chromebook is working great. I like the clarity of the screen, I know some have mentioned issues with it, but for what I am using it for, mostly just surfing the web, not gaming, it is perfectly fine. The only thing that I would consider to be subpar, would be the volume, it is not as loud as my old CB. I purchased another one because I really did love everything about my old one and never had any issues with it. I usually have a LOT of tabs open, I know that's not a good thing lol, but it handles it very well, never had any issues with it crashing. I will probably purchase the warranty on it within the next 30 days just in case. If I have any issues with this new one, I will come back and update.

Issues, Issues & More Issues
It's sad to see where this brand has fallen to. The touchpad is inferior quality. It almost immediately starts doing things on its own. It has closed down my webpages more than once while I was trying to type. I exchanged this for the same due to thinking it was a faulty single item. The replacement had an identical issue. The first one I received had other issues as well. The sound is poor on this model. I need to use a bluetooth speaker when listening to video or music. Value for money is not there. It is slow, and not only no better than, but actually inferior to other brands with similar build setups. I am returning this and buying an ASUS that will be about 40 bucks less. I don't like to leave negative reviews but this has too high a star value and people should be aware it is not a good quality item. AVOID I had an ASUS that lasted me 3 years. If I wanted to replace the battery, it would probably last me 3 more. This Acer has had an issue since the first couple of weeks. Just save your money.

Great Chromebook but shame about the lousy battery life (about 2 hours, not 10 hours as claimed)
Overall this is a very nice Chromebook -- with the latest version OS, a big 15" touchscreen, seemingly good build-quality and good form/function. But the claim of "up to 10 hours of battery life" is a big fat lie. Maybe if you're not doing anything with it? Like if the screen is in sleep mode for most of the time while you have a single or just a couple documents displayed? Maybe then the battery would last 5 or 6 hours...but even then, no way 10 hours. I use my Chromebook pretty normally, to browse the web, do social media, watch some videos, handle email and write documents....doing this, the brand new battery in this brand new computer lasts 2 to 3 hours. Not good!

No freezing,with many tabs open!
Im enjoying it. I had 33 tabs open at same time,no problems,no freezing,all was good. Its smooth,responsive,and fast. Acer did good with this one! Great 15'6 screen,very clear. Really enjoy surfing with this Glad i bought it!
