The toilet top model is just like sitting on a toilet only you get a little cheek in the water. If sitting on a toilet hurts, then why would you want a sitz bath that feels just like a toilet - only less roomy because it has to fit inside the seat??? A sitz bath is not a bidet, it’s about relaxing all those pelvic floor muscles in hot water. That means you need to get all those muscles into the water for a soak. That’s why this is better. Unless you’re traveling or have mobility issues. I’m small & athletic by any standard, around 120lbs. This is so roomy, it’s like a little bathtub in the shower. I love it! It has feet to allow water to run underneath so it doesn’t block the drain. It has a curved edge to grab to drain or move it. There is also a plug in the bottom but, it’s hard to open it when your backside is on it!
