If there is a 4" circle shaped vent hole on the portable AC, it should tolerate the heat. Stationary ACs condensate water, there is no vent hole. **Q: anyone use this for garage auto exhaust tube?** A: I am currently using this to exhaust the air in my wood shop **Q: Is this suitable for marine use?** A: No paperwork came with it indicating whether it is USCG compliant (if there is such a requirement).
