Best Kit, Really Reliable!
This was the best kit (& only kit) for growing sequoias. I followed all instructions correctly and got three sprouts, out of 7 seeds! Keep in mind the success rate is about 15 to 20% germination rate. In the pictures it looks like two sprouts and that is correct, but when I went to get rid of the perlite (white pebbles) there was a little baby stem starting to come out of the seed! I have checked other reviews and they all seem to say only two sprouts appear, I guess I got lucky!

Germinated!
One of the seeds sprouted. It was precisely on time according to the instructions. Very excited to watch it grow.I’m not disappointed that none of the other seeds made it- I only wanted one seedling anyways.I was surprised at how little dirt and rocks came with the greenhouse. Also the lid doesn’t fit perfectly on top of the greenhouse. TBH, I’ve been highly suspicious from the start. But none of that matters because one of the seeds germinated! Five stars!

You only get 3-5 seeds. Super misleading ad and product.
I find this product to be very misleading. They don't specify how many seeds you get. That's because you get 3-5. Never mind that *their* photograph shows at least 9-10 that I count. So if you are lucky, you *might* get 1 or 2 trees if everything goes well. I am confident that their very nice packaging costs far more than the actual seeds. If you have some potting soil or peat moss or coco coir and a baggy, don't waste your money on this kit. For the same money, you can get 40 seeds from their (much less misleading) competitors. When I called to get a refund, because I only got *4* seeds, they responded that 3-5 is what you get. Sorry/not sorry. If you want a cool round box, go ahead. If you want more seeds to get more actual trees, this is a complete waste of your money. I did not receive a refund despite the fact that I respectfully and politely registered my displeasure at their very misleading ad and product.

Sprouted 2! Super cool
Mine sprouted 2 and grew out the cup, I transplanted them and they died instantly I blame myself for this. I will try again, I live in an area where I think I can get one to grow outside and leave for the next generations to come and ponder who planted such an awesome tree. I think this would also be a fun project for children. Definitely recommend.

Tiny Seed, Big Dreams🌱
A year later, my sequoia from this kit is healthy and growing well. It was easy to use and rewarding to watch it sprout, but I do think the kit is a bit overpriced for what’s included. Still, a unique and fun project!

Not sure if the seeds are any good
I bought two of these kits and followed the instructions perfectly to a T on both, starting with one and then the other a few months later, and neither has sprouted after several months

Successful Sprout
I see a lot of reviews of seeds not sprouting, so I figured I’d leave this review.Sequoia’s are one of the most temperamental seeds I’ve ever tried sprouting. If it doesn’t sprout for you, I highly doubt its “a bad seed.” I only grow my own plants by seeds and have a very high success rate, but when it comes to Sequoia’s they like to make me really work for them. The only times I succeeded at sprouting a Sequoia tree is actually manipulating a greenhouse effect rather than setting it in the fridge like what the instructions instruct you to do. I plant the seeds close to the top of the soil rather than directly on the top. I then set the tube next to a window that receives full sun for a partial of the day. I use a syringe to water only a few drops of hot water into the soil once the moisture in the tube decreases- making sure it’s causing condensation at all times (shown in the picture). It took about 2 weeks for a seed to finally sprout.Hope this helps for those having trouble.

Growing strong PLUS GREAT Customer Service
I had one of however many seeds sprout and she has been growing strong in her little mini greenhouse. But more importantly the customer service has been amazing because they responded to my question quickly gave me very helpful advice, with a few different inquiries and just such caring sweet responses with additional information as well. I've never grown anything or have kept any plants or flowers because when I have tried I've killed them and so extra nervous with this sweet strong resilient seedling and got great advice and encouragement from their customer service
