Is this real paan or a mix to put in paan?

It's all ground up into a paste so I suppose a "Mix" is the correct term-but I've been to India to try it there for real and it is as close as you could ever get without being in India! It has that same rich red Beetle Nut flavor. Not as good but pretty close.

It was really yum! I didn’t think anything packaged would come close to actual Kolkatta paan, but this was a nice facsimile. Made me smile with nostalgia, and my non desi friends really got a kick out of it
