Waste King EZ Mount Garbage Disposal Sink Flange Kit

We have a GFC530H disposal and this worked perfectly to replace our broken one. OE price is about 3 times this, so it was nice to save a bit of money. Installation was straightforward and there are no leaks around any of the seals. Have had it installed for over a week and has not broke yet. I did apply a little grease on the rubber seal to help ease installation.

The number of times I have been able to order a product similar to this and fix something in my house without calling a handy person, relative, or neighbor to help are really starting to mount up. Thanks Amazon!! All the parts fit perfectly were easy to understand and were labeled nicely in terms of what direction they needed to be applied. I feel so great about doing this myself!! (go ahead and laugh if this is a standard household job for you, but it wasn’t for me and the sense of accomplishment is big.) no I’m off to do the dishes and run the dishwasher! Woohoo!

Received my order 04/11/2019. It came with a splash guard. It fit our 1999 SS800 perfectly. The trim ring that you see in the sink is shiny stainless/chrome instead of the original brushed stainless/chrome and it does not have any words on it like the original. No big deal, The wife is happy with it. This product comes assembled. BEFORE you dissemble it for installation, look very closely to the large rubber gasket (Part F - Support Compressible) to see how they have it attached to part A, the sink flange. I put the gasket on too far the first 2 times I tried it. The large rubber gasket should wrap around from the sides and cover the bottom edge of the sink flange. The mount ring should just drop over the rubber gasket, there is no need to try and force it. If you can't get part E, the mount ring, to drop down over the large rubber gasket, you put the gasket on too far. Just slide the gasket down until the rubber wraps around the bottom edge of the sink flange.

We got a new sink during our kitchen remodel. I disassembled our Waste King disposal and went to reinstall it after the new sink and countertop were installed. I could not find the rubber gasket when I went to install it. I kept all the parts together when I disassembled it but somehow I lost the rubber gasket. After receiving this kit the instructions said the rubber gasket is only used with a stainless steel sink. I realized when I originally installed it I discarded it because our old sink was cast iron. So as it turned out I really didn't need this kit but kept it because the top was in brand new condition and looked better with our new sink. The only thing different was that the Waste King logo was not stamped on. The problem I had was installing the thick rubber flange. The instructions were not clear how high to attach it and I wound up finding a video showing how high to attach it. If you attach it too high you will not be able to mount the aluminum mount to the disposal. If the instructions clearly explained this I would have rated this a 5-star under "Easy to Install". The homeowner in the video had the same problem and explained how high up to attach the rubber flange. He said he spent an hour trying to figure it out.

Seriously, it was perfect for helping up PROPERLY mount our garbage disposal. We'd had a yahoo install our new disposal and he somehow messed up the mounting ring that came with the unit. I went to 7 different stores looking for a replacement for that specific brand and came up with nothing. Took a chance on this one since Amazon has a great return policy. Within half an hour my husband reinstalled the garbage disposal properly and we didn't have a screaming match at all! If you've ever done any home improvement with your spouse and neither of you are pros, you'll know what I'm talking about. Crazy how such a simple little product can make all the difference. And we have no leaks or rattling with this attachment.

Waste King was Great to work with! The part was OEM and Worked and Fit Great! I would buy Waste King Products again!
