The ChiaoGoo Twist Shorties Set features 12 surgical stainless steel interchangeable needle tips in sizes US0-3 (2.0-3.25mm) paired with 3 flexible, memory-free cables (5", 6", 8") that resist kinking. ## Description

ChiaoGoo’s TWIST Lace Shorties of interchangeable circular needles are ideal for projects with a small diameter, such as socks, mittens, hats or baby clothes. The pointy needle tips make these needles suitable for knitting patterns with multiple stitches, such as lace patterns, puff stitches, bubble and cable knitting. The extremely flexible (and memory-free) cable consists of multiple steel wires, which prevent the cable from kinking or twisting while knitting. The needle tips can be easily attached, tightened or loosened with the supplied tightening key. The can be stored in a case that can accommodate several interchangeable needles and cables. In the small pocket you can store all sorts of other accessories, such as connectors, end stoppers, tightening keys and stitch markers. Both the large and small pockets have a zipper closure. The case can be attached to a larger bag for example by means of the ring.

You can put a short needle one on one side of cord and long one on the other of your cord to help you keep track of right and wrong sides of your work. Little compact same great chicagoo quality. The cases allow you keep everything with you in a slim compact organized manor. They are made from nice fabric's and your needle slots are marked with size nformation asxwell as etched on the needle. The interchangeable sets come with a needle gage that fits right in the zipper pocket. I love all my interchangeable sets and have several different ones 5" i, 4", shorties both small and large and I just ordered the mini 4" set too.. Allowing you to×5 be ready to knit whatever you fancy without having to wait for deliveries. You can also purchase longer clear cords for every set. You can not beat Chiagoo cords. The wires in the cords keep them unkinked so they never hit you in the face, they don't have a memory so when you take them out of your case they are ready to use. You don't have to put them in hot water to use them. They now make the bamboo needle clear cords that don't have wires in them but have a spinning ferrel and are now made for all sizes and can be to used with the lace interchangable sets that spin and move with you when you work. You can now purchase them to use with all needle sets lengths and sizes both small and large lace tips. Check package for details. All Chiagoo needle sets have perfect joins so you will not catch any of your speciality yarns on them. No more fear of frayed materials so your projects are kept in perfect shape while you work. Review: Lifechanging, great for socks, sleeves and baby clothes. - I was not sure I would like interchangeable circular needles in 2" & 3" lengths. I own several 9" (tip to tip measurement) fixed circular needles with the needle part measuring about 1.5" and while I do use those for sleeves (I despise double pointed needles and am not fond of magic loop knitting) I can only sort of tolerate the tiny fixed needles for short stints without serious hand cramps. The 2" needles in this set are still a bit awkward to get used to but they don't cause my hands to cramp like the fixed length needles do. In compromise I use a 2" needle on my left and a 3" needle on my right - I find that quite comfortable and can knit in small diameter for hours, no cramps. These needles are shockingly heavy considering how short & thin they are but its because they are solid stainless steel (larger diameter sizes are hollow stainless steel and therefore lighter) to ensure they don't bend/break while knitting complicated stitches. These are solid - in all the good ways. The needles stay screwed on - just be sure to tighten with the provided pin. Cables are fabulous, a mini version of regular red lace cables. I should say that my hands are small and I normally knit with a 4" needle interchangeable set (most sets are 5") so the 3" needles for me aren't much of a change - I think if I could have just bought a full set of just 3" needles I'd have done that but no one makes those (yet. ....hint hint chiaogoo) Packaging isn't as fabulous as the big chiaogoo sets (the bags for the big sets are THE best carryall case I've come across) but its convenient and keeps this little set tidy & organized - with anything this small - tidy & organized is absolutely key to successful knitting - Tiny parts are too easy to lose. I was reticent to spend this much but I'm so happy I finally did. Life changing. Wonderful.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: what length are the cables in this set?**
A: The cables are 5”, 6” and 8” - one of each length - creating 9” thru 14” circulars.  The cables are very thin.

**Q: Does anyone know the difference between the red & blue sets?**
A: Hi, The red set contains tip sizes US-000 through US-3. These tips have the Mini (M) join connection. The blue set contains tip sizes US-4 through US-8. These tips have the Small (S) join connection. I hope this helps and thank you for asking. Handsome Fibers.

**Q: I don't suppose they be interchangeable with knitters pride cords?**
A: None of the Chiaogoo needle tips will work directly with Knitter's Pride cords, regardless of size. They're fundamentally completely incompatible.

Knitter's Pride cords have a protruding screw at each end of the cable, and that fits into a socket set into the needle tips. Chiaogoo puts the screw on the end of the needle tips and the socket on the ends of the cables. If you try to pair a Chiaogoo needle tip with a KP cord (whether Knitter's Pride or Knit Picks) you'll end up with two screws and nowhere to put either of them.

Although both brands have adapters available to join one cable to another and those could, in theory, join one cable to something-else-with-the-same-end-as-a-cable, it looks like the sizes are also very wrong. I no longer have the KP adapter, but I have ones for the Chiaogoo small and large cables. The L adapter is too big, and the S adapter is too small. This kit uses an even smaller-than-Small "Mini" socket. Since the KP screw end is already larger than the Chiaogoo S, it would be far too big for the Chiaogoo Mini.

(The Mini cords that come with this kit are thinner and much more flexible than other Chiaogoo cords, though! They're more pliable than even KP cords, to the point of being a bit floppy. If it's only distaste for stiff Chiaogoo Twist cords that worries you, rather than a perfectly rational fear of taking up collecting a second (third, fourth, whatever, don't look at me like that!) brand of ICNs, you might be very pleased with this set anyway.)

**Q: Can the cords be used with the regular lace tips?**
A: Hello, The cables in this set are the Mini Twist cables. They can only be used with 4 and 5 inch Twist tip sizes US-000 through US-1.5. Thank you for checking. Tracy, Handsome Fibers.
