Likely, more than one device will be required to be effective for birds.
I purchased one of these devices as a backyard orchard bird deterrent. My experience is that while the noise alarm that is triggered by motion is effective immediately if front of the device, it isn’t effective in determining birds that fly into a tree on the opposite side of where the device is installed. Also, the lateral and vertical area of the motion sensor is limited. Thus, for example, that while the area in front of a cherry tree seems to be protected, birds will continue feeding on the opposite side and lower limbs. As a result, I suspect that at six devices would be needed. I don’t know whether the device would be more effective if it were not triggered by motion alone and, also issued an alarm signal regularly at somewhat frequent intervals of say 4-5 seconds.

Didn't meet my expectations
I had in mind that I will get the product with an adaptor for power supply, apparently, I didn't. The motion sensor of the product is not sensitive enough to be activated by birds. There is no way just to turn it on and let it work constantly.
