Did exactly what it was supposed to do.

I really like this design concept. The white screen part fits very snugly into the black part with friction only, which seems to work well - though I'd probably have thrown a screw into the white flange to be sure it doesn't fall out in the winter. The black body has wings that you squeeze with your hands when you put this up into the hole, and then expand back out to hold it in place, works pretty well. The black body is not 3 inches in diameter, more like 2-3/4 inches. This wasn't an issue for us because we had flex tubing, if you're using rigid tubing this might be a problem. Finally, we didn't end up using the white part because it restricted the air flow too much. The screen is just too fine. It cut about half the airflow. I ended up using the old cap from the vent we were replacing, modifying it to fit the black part. It wasn't perfect but worked much better. The old vent cap used screen door material, which let a lot more air past. I'm not saying this is bad, or that you will need to do this. And, maybe you want a finer screen to keep out certain insects. For us, airflow was more important. I'm giving 4 stars because the diameter isn't what is stated and the screen is too restrictive, but still like the overall concept.

Yes, this is a solid lil vent. Good quality. Great design. Only thing to be careful of is the air flow and possibly restricting of the lil holes. They will easily clog depending on what it is used for to exhaust. Overall good vent. Just was too restrictive for what I intended it for.

I decided to go with this vent because it's plastic. I think it will perform well in Quebec winters.

Fits 3 inch dryer hose. Need a wider diameter to fit in wall. I used 4 inch saw and it worked perfect.

Fit perfectly. Arrived quickly. Couldn't find anything compatible or the right size in the local stores so I was skeptical about the quality and fitting prior to ordering, but was pleasantly surprised. So long as it doesn't melt when the furnace comes on, then it's all that's needed.

I purchased the vent to use as an air exchanger inlet, for which it seemed ideal. However the insect screen is only held in place by friction and that was not sufficient to counter the force of air being drawn through it by the air exchanger. I ended up securing it in place with a wire tie. Fortunately the vent is hidden from regular view.
