Compact size
Impressed with the quality of this product. It serves its purpose and was very easy to setup. The lock is also very smooth and secure.

A quality piece of hardware
Very sturdy, easy to use. Programming the lock combo is a piece of cake. It's quite heavy -- something to be aware of if you're mounting it to a wall stud. You'll need some way to hold it in place while marking for screw holes, etc. If your house has molding like mine, you can't rest it on the floor because then it won't be flush to the wall. I rested it on a small piece of 2x4 to get it above the molding. It also helps to have a second person to help you steady the cabinet while you're screwing it into the stud.If you're using this cabinet under a bed or couch and you have hardwood floors, I recommend putting it on a small mat or throw rug. Otherwise, you could damage your flooring while sliding the cabinet in and out.One quibble: The velcro that holds your shotgun in place for storage could be a little sturdier and could use some kind of grab ring or similar attachment. In an emergency, you wouldn't want to be scrabbling around for where to pull on it.

Simple and high-quality.
Quality cabinet with a very simple lock. I like it, can easily open it in the dark, and don't have to worry about batteries failing. Great product, very well built.

Pretty good, and fast
As has been noted elsewhere, this is specifically for 18.5 inch barrels. You *might* get away with a 20 inch barrel with a normal stock, but it would be tight. The box has 5 pushbuttons on the mechanical lock. You can program it with a code that uses each button only once, with the potential of requiring more than one button to be pressed at once.Being kind of a geek, I figured out the number of combinations possible. There are 930 possible combinations. I was going to put all the math here but it's kind of boring. The good part is that you could program it with say a 2+3 combination, that is two buttons at once plus the other three at once, and even though it's only two quick button presses, it's still secure (there are 100 possible 2+3 combinations). You can have this thing open in 5 seconds flat. The steel is heavy enough for a box of this size. It's not overly heavy, but the steel is not the weak point. The combination lock by itself leaves the box pretty prone to an attack with a pry bar. It's best to install this in a way that anyone who wanted to pry it open couldn't easily get leverage, that is, put the side that opens close to a wall or something. There are two additional ace locks that would help secure it if you wanted to have some additional security, but they would be no match if someone got leverage with a pry bar.In conclusion If you want kids or casual passers by not to tinker with your gun, yet still retain very quick access, this box is for you. It wouldn't stop someone determined to get the box open, but mounting it in a way that reduces the ability to get leverage would help slow them down a little bit.

Good way to store shotgun in house
I keep a Mossberg 500 with optic, side saddle and magpul stock. Fits snuggly but no issue. This is perfect for keeping a firearm locked and safe from children, but not as something to keep firearms from being stolen. It is built well and sturdy but the main lock allows a lot of flex in the door at each end. Potential for prying but still be work for someone. There are additional locks but they need a key to use so inconvenient and would take more time to open as you need to have key besides using the punch code. Overall a good value if you are looking for a more discrete way to store a shotgun inside house. Would recommend V-line products.

Clean, Compact, Secure, and Easily Accessible
The V-Line Quick Access Keyless Shotgun Safe perfectly houses my Home Defense Mossberg 500 Persuader (Pistol Grip Style with Retractable Stock) Shotgun. The Safe is compact enough that I can hide it cleanly between my dresser and a wall in my bedroom where it is easily accessible. Even though it is compact it feels very solid and I have confidence in it's quality. It has 3 secure points for locking (key code lock and the top and bottom key locks) which will help to keep my little one accessing the contents of the safe. The mechanical key code functionality works effortlessly. The case itself weighs only about 25 pounds so it may not work well as a theft deterrent but I purchased it mainly for the purpose of keeping it safely away from my little one and any curious guests which I think it does superbly.Update: I added a Tactical Flashlight to the side of the Shotgun and the Safe still closes. The fit becomes snug with the flashlight on but it closes with minimal additional effort as it pushes a little on the padding of the safe.

Fits like a glove with room to spare.
Great case that fits my Winchester Home Defense 12 gauge with a loaded side saddle with room to spare. If you’re like me you already saw the video that reviews this case safe. There’s one point I want to be sure to clear up. I can absolutely store my 12 gauge with a pistol grip and loaded side saddle and close the safe door. No problem with it. The video shows you can’t do that, which is not true.Instead of mounting it to a wall I decided to add a handle and store it under my bed. The handle allows me to pull it out fast when I need to.The simplex lock is easy to operate and program. It’s a great simple case that gives me the comfort in knowing my kids can’t get in it and keeps me in compliance with Johnny Law.I would recommend this safe case.
