This lever survived 3 low speed crashes just fine, and only put a minor scratch on my crankcase (which it deflected into). The spring loaded end works and allows the lever to survive crashes quite well. The extra length made it possible for me to shift as well. I did the ride in size 12 MX boots which are huge and bulky, to the point that shifting up is impossible with the stock shifter. These made it possible. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1 inch or 3/4 ? *by T***T on Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2015* A little confusing description. It says "1 inch longer" in one part of the ad, and "3/4 inch" longer in another. I think the 3/4 is more accurate, but for that I would give 5 stars. It is well made, fit easily to bike.
