Mere Christianity Journal: A Guide to Faith and Healing Through C. S. Lewis's Insightful WWII-Era Radio Broadcasts and Other Writings

Have been using this as a format for a daily journal for over 10 years. Previous to that I used a Oswald Chanbers' "my utmost for his highest". It is larger and based a 365 day year whereas the C S Lewis version is smaller and not calendar based which I preferred. I have to use 2 to 3 CS Lewis journals for ever Oswald Chambers books. Oswald Chambers was a Brit who died very young in the early 1920's whereas C S Lewis is more contemporary passing away in 1963.

I read this on a plane ride from the East to the West Coast. I was converted, re-born. But, I fear that as time has elapsed, I have relapsed. I plan to re-read it before I die. But, it got me started saying the Lord's Prayer most nights before I fall asleep. There may yet be hope for me.

Wonderful soft leather cover. Beautiful journal for anyone. Contains valuable portions of teachings by C.S. Lewis. A good gift for a believer or an unbeliever.

Currently working through this right now--very well built (love the leather!), and the questions are really good with helping me understand what Mere Christianity is about given how difficult it can be to understand at times

Not what I thought it was. I was looking for the book,my fault. But the quality of the item was first rate.

A beautiful leather book. Plenty of room to take notes and highlight your thoughts for discussion in group .

This journal did help in accompanying the book and provoking thoughts, but I think I was better off just keeping my own journal rather than buying this one. I could see this being beneficial for some.

This was a Birthday Gift for my Aunt. She loved it. It is a great book with a nice leather cover.

"Mere Christianity" is possibly the most persuasive introduction to the Christian Faith ever written. Out of an ocean of knowledge, an astonishingly clear mind, a dedicated heart of faith, and a most attractive desire to help others, CS Lewis showers pearls of wisdom upon his readers. Matters that many would have thought completely inexplicable, he presents to the mind with striking analogies that are marvels of clarity, simplicity and down-to-earth usefulness. The book is empowering. I have met many people whose lives have been changed by it.Unsurprisingly a CS Lewis industry has sprung up, and although this leather-bound journal edition is beautifully made and a delight to handle, be warned that only excerpts from 'Mere Christianity' grace its pages. Most of the space is simply ruled paper for you to write on. I am sad that the publishers do not make this clear.

IT IS NOT THE BOOK! What I have to say about it is that when purchasing this item i had not realised that it is NOT the full book MERE CHRISTIANITY, but something like a diary/student workbook with quotes FROM the book. Looking back, I should have noticed this, since it DID say journal in the title. That said it is very well made, and interesting enough and i WON'T be returning it cause i like it. I just wanted to leave this here as warning to other so they don't make my mistake :)
