Solid substitute
Great taste for a reasonable price. You get a lot of coffee for the price. Not quite as good as the true blue mountain coffee but close and reasonable enough for everyday drinking.

EXCELLENT Jamaican Blue Mountain Style Coffee!!
I have been ordering this coffee direct for several years and have wanted to order through Amazon for the faster shipping. I was hesitant to do so because a few reviews said the beans were not fresh. My order arrived today and I am VERY pleased! The beans were VERY fresh and the best part was I did not have to wait a week to get them! This is a very smooth, mild, non-acidic coffee, so it is not for the folks who like a stronger coffee. If you have ever enjoyed the true Jamaican Blue Mountain beans, but can't afford the high price, these beans are for you! This is a product I will add to "subscribe" and $ave even more for GREAT coffee beans!

Jamaican Blue Mountain โSTYLEโ
The name should have been a red flag. Itโs not awful exactly. Iโd say meh. It does not stand up to other genuine Blue Mountain brands though. The smooth, rich flavor and aroma isnโt there. Instead itโs somewhat harsh and cream and or sugar is needed to tone it down. Iโll pay more for genuine next time. However, Iโd give it 6 out of 10 stars.

My experience with Coffee Bean Direct Jamaican Blue Coffee Review.
I love the authentic taste of the coffee. Itโs just like being in Jamaica! Everything is great, Caffeine content, aroma, color. The cost has really gone up and that is concerning to, I suspect is is the tariffs and that I donโt like!

Great coffee at a good price.
Delicious, and for the type of coffee it is, a great price. Will definitely be buying this again.

Not even close to Jamaican Blue. Almost like colored water.
This product is supposed to be in the style of Jamaican Blue Coffee, however I most definetely is not. The coffee brews up very weak. I even tried using 3 tablespoons per 8 oz, and that did not improve the taste. I would definetly avoid this product. As for me, this was my first try with Coffeebeandirect so it will probably be my last. What a waste.

Good, not great. Call it...underwhelming.
I bought the Jamaican Blue Mountain Style coffee (which isn't Jamaican Blue Mountain - they do state that clearly - but tries to imitate it). I've had a blend with real Jamaican Blue Mountain before (mixed with other beans to enhance the flavor - and lower the cost), and was hoping for something that heavenly again. This wasn't it. It makes a good cup of coffee, maybe even above average. If they weren't comparing it to Jamaican Blue Mountain, I might even call it great...maybe. I can't tell by looking if beans are old or stale, as some people have said in other comments - but the expiration on the bag was over a year out, which is usually a good sign. There wasn't much aroma when I opened the bag, and the freshly ground and brewed coffee doesn't have a lot of aroma, either. I re-bagged the beans into smaller containers, so hopefully the last cup I brew will be nearly as good as the first - but 5 pounds is a lot of coffee. It makes the price affordable, though, so that keeps it from being a bust - under $9/lb for good coffee is acceptable. All things being equal, though, one day I'm going to splurge on real Jamaican Blue Mountain again. Until then...I might give this another try if the price is right. It's certainly drinkable, just not outstanding. Maybe this weekend I'll see if french press (rather than the quality drip coffeemaker I'm using) can get more out of it.

Freeze, then grind.
These people were so nice in making up for my mistake in ordering beans instead of ground coffee, that I have decided to order a coffee grinder tonight. I guess fate has brought me back to "the bean", about a month after tossing my grinder. It's okay. I had it for many years. A new article in the New York Times last week (for those of us who are coastal elite, coffee bean latte drinkers) that had a really scientific study showing that freezing the beans first and grinding them while frozen will produce better flavor because of the size and shape (with more exposed surfaces when the bean fractures while frozen) of the ground coffee particles. Many, many years ago we stored our beans in the freezer. Then we were told to not do that, but this study may have been double-blind and certainly sounded technically smart, so we're back again to storing and grinding while frozen. I'll come back when I try out my new grinder.
