VERY Easy to Setup Heart rate Strap
This is no doubt a pricey heart rate strap, but it's accuracy, stability and quality construction, could save your life! I have had Garmin heart rate straps over the years and have always had issues, over time, after changing the batteries a couple of times. This one, however is USB rechargeable and that also saves the landfill issue with battery disposal. It paired almost instantly with my new Forerunner watch and the Connect App, which now shows when this specific strap is detected,by the watch. No guessing which device the watch is linking to. The only criticism I have is that I would prefer waking it up by the button on front only, rather than auto detection. This way you could have the strap on before getting to a exercise location and manually activating it when you get there rather than having to take your shirt off to put it on when you arrive, to save battery life.

Recommend, if you are a serious athlete!
It's easy to use, connect to app, then wait for it to connect before runs with your watch or use it without it and track results after. The Value for it I suppose it is decent, I would say $100 is a perfect price point. It is comfortable at times but sometimes the edges can rub if your skin is dry at first until you sweat.Accuracy looks pretty good for when I use it indoors on my treadmill, and outdoors it is great as well.I really enjoy it and would recommend to serious runners.

This is what the HRM Pro / Pro Plus should’ve been
As a long time fan of Garmin (having had 7 watches and 3 different HRM in the past), this is my favorite HRM, but not surprisingly as it’s also the most expensive.Started out with the HRM Pro a few years ago and the added running metrics were much appreciated. Battery life was rated for 1 year but with my typical use, lasted around 3-4 months. The biggest con I had with that was the need to have a tiny screwdriver around to replace the battery. When I saw the Pro Plus have an easier to change battery compartment I was intrigued. My Pro had stopped working and Garmin was able to replace my Pro with the Plus. The Plus was working well since I got it, it was similar to the Pro, had an easier to change battery compartment, and was familiar.8 month later let’s say the strap started to get worn. Frequent cleaning with soap and water only went so far before it started to get funky. The band started to get stiff. The clasp started to get loose. The HRM 600 with its rechargeable battery and modular design were what should’ve been in the past. Did I like paying so much for a strap? Nope. Also not a fan of not being able to get the new metrics since I don’t have the latest and newest generation of watches. But that one con aside, very pleased with the 600 and hopefully this is the last time I’ll have to buy a HRM.

Nice chest strap but ... hard to remove from strap
I got the HRM-600 because it seamlessly complements "both" my watch and the app, offering extra stats or acting as a backup when my watch battery is low. While I also own a Polar H10, it only connects to my watch, making the HRM-600 more versatile.Pros:- USB rechargeable,- Connects to both the Garmin app and watch, ease of use- Added functionality over previous models.Cons:- Average comfort and battery life;- Device-2-strap connection feels too tight raising concerns about its durability- Green light is visible through clothing.I don't have means to measure accuracy, but I have read great reviews about the Garmin sensors.I'm finding the Device-2-Strap connection uncomfortably tight, which is a major drawback and could ultimately lead to a return. I'll give it a few more days to see if the fit improves.
