It is bathing suit material. Being plump I do not find it flattering for me OR anyone to be exploding out of a swimsuit made for skinny people. So I bought this to wear under different bathing tops I have. However I also wear these like shorts over a one piece I own. It is perfect for both scenarios. Its hard to show since they are black. Pic 2 I have the inside panty pulled out. It is like a bikini under panties. I placed an envelope at the top hoping you could pick it out in the photo. Pic 3 I have pulled the drawstring in some. I wear a size 14 shorts and size 8 panties. I bought a size XXL and it fits perfect. I personally do not like tight or close fitting items. These are snug yet not form fitting and the drawstring works. I am actually going to get a couple more pairs to wear as shorts when I am working in the Flprida heat in my yard or gathering for outdoor fun. Depending on where your body is heaviest at would help decide your right size. I have what I call a basketball belly and the size xxl is perfect. However if you have a flat belly you might be able to drop a size but they probably would be snug. For USA buyers these run small! I hope this helps someone.

FINALLY!!! An affordable swim bottom that doesn't make my ass hang out, fits comfortably, and has a functioning drawstring for extra security. Yes, the inner liner is white which is dumb, but I don't really care. It's cute, the pattern is vibrant and fun, and it fits! I haven't tried it in the water yet, so I might have to update my review afterward.

The drawstring is mostly decorative. I suppose it will tighten the waist but there is narrow elastic above the drawstring and it is a wee bit too tight. It’s not uncomfortable but it gives me muffin top. Unflattering! I’m going to keep them and try to snip the elastic through an inside seam so the drawstring can control the tightness around my waist. If that works out I’ll be buying more in other colors. I think the white undies are going to really show through the white fabric when they’re wet, but that doesn’t bother me as much as the muffin top. I bought a size Large. I normally wear size Large in bottoms, 10 in slacks. 12 in jeans.

I usually wear a size 10, and the XL fits me well. They're slightly loose, but have the tie to tighten them. The built in undergarments aren't great and were slightly too large, so I cut them out. But these are my favorite for wearing to swim, work out, or lounge. They're really soft, comfortable, and they dry quickly! The turquoise flowers option is so bright and fun. I plan on ordering several more colors. I've washed them 6 or 7 times already and they still look great.

Love how comfortable and easy to wear. This is my third pair, 1 I lost, 1 was a medium and just a tad more snug than I like (my daughter wanted them). So this is the large and fits like 1st pair, love.

For me, these are true to size. Mine fit perfect and are a great length. Not to long and not up to your butt. I the quality of the shorts are great. I highly recommend

I followed the size chart and these fit perfectly! I'm 5'2" and about 175 lb. typically wear size 14/16.

Read the description carefully. The “improved” fit of the cheetah print compared to the standard fit of the black was a full size different. The “improved” fit is smaller. I ordered XL in both, but I am returning the cheetah print because it gives me a bulge at the waistline.

Just received these shorts today and returning them. Way too small. Ordered an XL and fits like a medium.Updated: I will not be returning them as they have to be shipped to the US and of course I have to pay for shipping. Pretty disappointing!!

I purchased the black as well as the green shorts. The black are perfect. Comfortable and overall fit well. Although I wear a 8-10 I bought the same size in both (XL) according to the reviews so that they would fit. The green however considering they are the same size as the black fit smaller and do not seem the same quality as the black. The tags that came with them were different. I can't really take out the under bottom like others suggested as the green would be somewhat see thru.

The little cutouts are so cute, fit was perfect. I've seen better quality, so I'm hoping these last a good couple summer seasons
