The power-on/off button is a bit hidden on the top and takes some force but works great - and you get used to it. The temperature read-out actually rotates in 90º increments (up/down/left-up/right-up) - what a fantastic feature as I don't have the sharpest eyes and remember twisting head & shoulders to read my old thermometer (which died when submerged in soapy water).
