Good price
Doesn't quite work like I would want it to but that's not their fault. Description said that it would not work with my goldwing because it has a navigation system and ABS system. I took a chance. Hooks up perfectly (although the cable is extremely short). Had to do some engineering. Works with my cd buttons quite nicely. The thing that doesn't work is when I change to the radio the cd player (this is what it is hooked into will keep playing (you won't hear it but it still plays.) It will stop when the bike is shut off or when you hit the reset button, but that is in the trunk so the bike is usually shut off anyhow. You have to watch how you put the songs on with folders etc. Will hold 594 songs for me. Enoungh for a trip.

Plug and play.
I had an older JMC that died. The DMC appearsTo be exactly the same. Plugged in the new unit. Swapped my data card over. Worked perfect, got my toons back. Great value.

Product needs improvement through QUALITY CONTROL
I have had 3 of these units, with all three going bad. First one kept going back to the very first song, when starting the bike, second one would freeze on channel 3 lock up, and third one played very well while riding, stopped at my son's house shut bike off, when restarted bike no mp3 player, checked fuse, wiring, pushed reset button, notice no light on unit, went dead. Now I'm on my fourth unit, could be a excellent product IF QUALITY CONTROL WAS IMPROVED.

Not compatible with the Honda Goldwing 2015 with Nav
I noted that all versions of the Digital Music Changer went up to 2001 to 2011. I found this model listed as 2001-2015, so I jumped on it. It arrived today, and I went out to install. The system does not hook into the back of the radio as suggested by the instruction. The electrical schematic shows this unit plugged into a switch, not identified, and the switch connects into the radio with a different connector. The unit is not compatible with a 2015 Honda Goldwing and has the wrong connector with no pin-out diagram.

Great add-on for GL1800, but imperfect functionality
I installed this on a 2003 GL1800. Installation was extremely easy. It plugs right in to the existing CD player harness under the seat. The worst part is cutting a hole in back of the seat to route wiring into the trunk, but still not a big deal.Getting it up and running is another thing altogether. The instructions are limited and it took a number of of tips on various websites to finally get it working. After numerous trips back and forth between the bike and PC, here are a few of the things I found.1. DO NOT press the A.SEL RPT/RANDOM button on the GW console once this is running. It will lock up the system and will actually continue to play after the bike is turned off! Removing fuse 22 is the only way to reset the system, and trip mileage and clock are also reset.2. Create folders as shown in the so-called "instructions," but be sure to put a number of tracks in the root folder. The root is actually CD1. It appears that up to 99 tracks can be placed in each folder.3. I still haven't figured out the folder numbers. Root shows as CD1, but then mine seems to call folder CD02 CD3.4. Tracks will be arranged in the order in which they are copied to the flash card. Coping them one at a time in the order you want is one option. I found that using MediaMonkey also works. I created a playlist for each folder in MediaMonkey, randomized it, saved it, and then sent it to the corresponding folder on the MicroSD card.5. Press CD on the GW console to activate the system.6. Flicking the CD button on the GW controls will change tracks. Holding it for a couple of seconds will change CDs/Folders.7. DO NOT press the A.SEL RPT/RANDOM button on the GW console...It would be nice if all of the information above was included in the instructions. I understand that this unit is compatible with multiple vehicles, but if you are going to sell it for a GL1800, then include specific instructions for a GL1800.I'm still giving it 4 stars, because for ~$50 I have a whole bunch of music available when I turn my bike on and I have some control over it with the stock GW CD controls. The setup hassle is definitely worth it to me to have that convenience in the long run.

Its; Got BLUETOOTH! MP3 player to replace a non existant CD player.
So I've installed 3 units so far, and they have all worked perfectly. (Two for friends, one for myself). The connection to the CD changer connector on the bike is hidden in a big black boot behind the fuse box, underneath where the middle of where the seat would be. The trunk requires a hole be drilled in the lower pocket of the trunk to facilitate the device connector pass through to the Bikes CD changer connector (under the seat in the approximate middle of the seat). The cable length is adequate.Once installed and the Media is installed either by USB Thumb drive or SD card. I'm using a 64Gig Thumb drive right now. It's working just fine.Best cool feature is that it supports Blue tooth as well. Yes BLUETOOTH! Just search your phone for Mcosta, pair, and you can stream music from your phone, When not streaming from the phone, then it plays the Thumb/SD Card music. They recommend you make CD's. CD-1 =99 songs. CD-2 = 99 songs, ect, all the way to more than 10 CD's. 1000 songs.Highly recommend.

Works as advertised.
Have had no issues with this unit as many have claimed. I use a sd card with 9 folders and 45+ songs in each folder. Easily switches from song to song and "cd" to "cd" . not easy to get songs in an order you wants but can be done.
