Perfect for the darker months!
I use a Giant Flexi lead which is almost identical to this one, except the lead is black and slightly wider. That's not to say the width affects the strength of this yellow lead though, it's super strong and locks up fast and tight. I have a larger than average male GSD and this Flexi version is more than suitable for his size, strength and weight, but if you have a larger dog there's the Pro version to consider too. I considered it myself but went with the size Flexi (accurately) recommended. When my dog suddenly pulls on the lead (like when he sees a fox) I can lock the lead very quickly and it doesn't budge, not even a little bit. I can then push up on the next button and that locks the lead without needing to keep your thumb on the first button. There's no budge on that lock up either. When there's a bit of slack you press the first button again to unlock it, it's very simple to use. I'm completely satisfied with the quality and reliability of Flexi leads. I've been using my black one for 15+ years and it's only a tiny bit worn on the lead edges! I have a feeling my new yellow lead will easily last as long and won't let me down. It's important to have a reliable extendible. The reason I looked for another lead is because when I was walking my dog in a local field one evening there were a few teenagers riding electric bicycles up and down and I realised that an accident could occur if they rode their bikes between my dog and I, not seeing in the dark that he is on an extendible lead. I could barely hear the bikes coming, let alone call him to me in time. I looked at many leads that light up or have reflective piping or LEDs (and so on) but my dog has mobility issues and isn't allowed to run before his surgeries, so I really needed an extendible. I was really pleased to find this bright yellow Flexi! If you look at the photos, the first photo was taken in near darkness, in a little ambient light about 25m away from the nearest steet light. The second photo is when I shone my phone's torch on it. As you can see, it's not a particular bright light but the lead really lights up! It's brighter in brighter light, obviously. It's not a reflective lead, just a hi-vis colour, but it works really well and that's exactly what I wanted. With his similar coloured hi-vis coat (taken off in the second photo to show the lead only), it's very visible in the dark. This lead provides much more safety (you could say 100% more!) than a lead that can't be seen and it doesn't need batteries or charging in light beforehand, like a glow in the dark lead would. The Flexi lead itself is slightly different to my black one where the lead runs in and out too. The black one has a U shape but this hi-vis lead has what I can only describe as a '3 leaf clover' type shape, to prevent tangles when the lead runs in/out and your dog moves around. I think it's a better design although my black one hasn't ever tangled. The lead in this size is a little heavy but perhaps a little lighter than my black one. The grip seems better in the hand and it's comfy to hold. Don't be put off by the lead 'roll' not being covered, it'd make the lead heavier to hold and it does has benefits, for example when the lead is wet it dries faster. I've never had a problem with mud or grit getting in my black lead and it's the same with this one. My 2 year old dog senses a muddy puddle a mile away! If It gets dirty just extend it and hose It off when you get home, the dirt comes off easily, it doesn't stick to it. The lead also fits the Flexi accessories, like the poo bag holder (which simply clips in underneath) and the light that fixes onto the side of the lead (with velcro) and lights the lead up as it's always pointing in the right direction. It has a red light at the back too, which is handy. With the accessories adding barely any weight it's become a multifunctional lead!If you are looking for a strong, very good quality extendible that will last a long time and lock up tight when you need it to, but you also want a lead that is highly visible between you and your dog, then I have no hesitation recommending this one to you. Yes, it is a little heavy but all long and strong extendibles are. It's well balanced though so you don't really notice it when in hand. It's perfect for what I wanted it for. No more accidents waiting to happen, the bikers now avoid the distance between my dog and I now. They even stopped to say what a good idea it is when they first saw it! It's also great for road safety, especially with the Flexi light attached. As you can tell, I really like this Flexi extendible lead and I'm sure you will too. Considering I've already invested in a Flexi lead, getting another one for hi-vis was a little more money than I'd have liked to spend I suppose, but other options weren't exactly right and it's no price for the no fuss safety this Flexi lead provides. I don't regret buying it one bit, but I ever do I'll be sure to update my review and tell you why!

Love it
Bought this as the tape on the extra small was causing all sorts of problems and folding up/not retracting properly. The tape on the small is far thicker and sturdier, and I had no issues with it retracting. Nice size, the bright orange is also good for being seen by other dog owners 😊

String & sturdy for a large fog
Had purchased a different leash previously that was described as strong & suitable for my needs, however when it came it was flimsy & the tape narrow. This retractable lead is perfect for what I need, it’s robust, strong with a good lead width. I only use it for training not walks in general & it is perfect for control & training. It is quite heavy so if you have hand issues it’s maybe not ideal.

Great quality and bright colour
Like reflective area on handle , not sure yet if tape itself is reflective but bright colour. Feels very sturdy and great quality. Bought the small size for energetic mini dachshund and just right.

Great lead
The ones with the tape are much better & safer than the ones with the cord- the tape is easier to grab to pull the dog back in a pinch. Good size & comfortable to carry.

Very nice
I lost my boy dog last week so my girl, who's 11, has been treated to a new harness and lead.Because shes small (10kg) and doesn't pull anyway I decided to go for an extending one this time.Because her new harness is navy and orange I hunted around for an orange lead. After going to pets at home I found this brand but they didn't have orange.Searched Amazon as as usual it's not only in orange but cheaper too.Arrived 3 days before the expected date, well packaged. It's perfect for her and she looks very smart.Small: I have quite large hands but it's easy to hold and light. Neon orange is bright and matches her 3 peaks harness. It flows out and rewinds perfectly. The lock is easy to use and so is just pushing the button to stop it extending. The tape I much prefer to a cord and seems strong. We've had several walks using this already and its perfect for her.For quality, colour and price I can't fault it.
