I had previously purchased the AUTO-VOX SOLAR1 Rear View Camera that attaches to the number plate for my van which worked brilliantly and still is working brilliantly.I saw this new camera and noticed that it could be attached to my van magnetically which to me was a huge plus as I could use it as a reversing camera but also whilst parked up camping I could use it on the sides and the front of the van as a security camera to keep an eye on what was going on around me at evening and nighttime once it had gone dark as it has Night Vision. This was particularly useful to me as my van was attacked during a previous wild camp by two men, and this camera gives me the ability to see what is going on outside the van whilst I'm in it and to also record the footage too.The camera was easy to setup after receiving it. I put it on charge with the supplied charging cable, and it took around 5 hours to complete the first charge. Once it is charged there is a solar panel on the camera that keeps it topped up with charge. I then just popped the magnetic camera on the back of the van under the number plate, held the power button in for 5 seconds so that the blue LED was flashing, then plugged the display unit into a 12V power supply, selected Pair on the display menu, and it paired with the camera displaying a high definition view from the rear of the van.Really happy with the quality of the camera and the ability to be able to record footage from the camera. The camera also has an infrared lamp on it which I tested once it had gone dark and was very impressed with as it means I can now see anyone snooping around the van at night when it's dark and I have the blinds and curtains closed in the van.I like the fact that you don't have to do any drilling and running of cables throughout the van with this camera, and that I can remove the camera from the van and store everything in the carry case that came with it.Regarding the warranty, the User Manual says that you do get 12 months warranty from the date of purchase, but that if you contact a service representative at AUTO-VOX that they will give you a further 6 months warranty at no charge. So, 18 months warranty is amazing, and having used AUTO-VOX's customer service a couple of times when I accidently left the cap off the charging port of my SOLAR1 and also broke the 12V charge, I can say that they were top notch and sorted my issues in no time in a friendly and professional manner.If you are looking for a high quality wireless reversing camera then I highly recommend AUTO-VOX and their products. You will not be disappointed.

This is a superb product that does exactly what it says. Fitting is simple, no drilling, no cables from one vehicle to the other, just fit to the rear trailer/caravan switch on and go.I have towed for 20 years and this camera is a game changer, especially on our modern roads. The rear view is wide and clear. It acts as a rear view mirror whilst towing. Reversing is child's play.Aria, from tech support is fantastic, quick to answer my one question about fitting.I seldom recommend an item, but this has to be the best thing for a job I have ever bought.

Great product works a treat on the back of my Motorhome. I just used the sticky back steel plate used no screws or extra bonding. I have done 800 miles and no issues re it shaking loose very power magnet, great vivid camera images , battery lasts at least 8 hours. Great value for money

Have only just set this up and will be testing it properly on a month long touring caravan holiday soon but so far initial testing has produced great results. Everything is supplied that you need and it all seems to be extremely well made. I attached the magnetic plate to my fibreglass caravan using the adhesive backing supplied and it seems to really stick well. I have gone round it with Sikaflex 522 just to make sure. The camera/monitor has an extremely impressive range and the picture is extremely clear. Overall seems a great product and I’m really looking forward to my first trip. One addition which I would find useful is some form of rubber backing with straps attached for the monitor as I don’t want to stick the stand to my dashboard. I intend to use a piece of foam to protect my interior mirror and attach the monitor with elastic bands. Would highly recommend this for the price.

Very good service from Auto-box - Have purchased the Solar 5 Rear View camera for our caravan and having just done our first trip all is working well. Was easy to setup and able to start using it very quickly. The whole kit appears to be good quality and robust and no issues with camera drop out at all and display provides a good easy to see view, with full trip recorded. The fittings that are provided and carry case is all good and fortunately the power lead was plenty long enough to reach the cigarette lighter socket in the rear, as I have a new vehicle and it only has USC power outlets in the front. I used the provided metal plate for the magnetic camera fixing and stuck that onto the caravan back panel using 3M VHD 100mm x 100 tape and all is very secure at the moment. There is a blind spot low down of about 6 feet from the rear of the caravan due to the camera needing to be high up for ideal rear road/traffic view, which I had expected but wanted to see how it went. Thus, will probably get the additional Reg Plate camera to enable reversing close up to objects which for me will then be a perfect set-up (Display will take two camera inputs and supports dual display so no issue).

It works well and is so easy to use. Literal plug and play, and remove when not in use. It’s great because I can have one camera focused on the trailer hitch and one for the view behind the trailer. The picture is clear and bright. It makes backing up a breeze but I also like to have it on as I drive to always know what’s behind me. The carrying case is also a bonus.

Very easy to setup and run, great image with no lag.The only downside I have found is the obvious risk of leaving the camera unattended on the vehicle, its quite big and can be easily seen which means it could very easily be stolen.

Ich wollte eine neue Rückfahrkamera und da kam ich auf die Auto-Vox Solar 5b Rückfahrkamera, Kabellos und mit großer Reichweite und Magnethalter, da es sich bei meiner Verwendung um einen Wohnwagen mit 7,5m Länge handelt bin ich gespannt wie es mit der Übertragung aus insgesamt 13m im Auto aussieht. Vorab kann ich nur soviel sagen das Päckchen kam sehr schnell und gut verpackt bei mir an. Eine Aussage zum Einbau und Installation kann ich erst in ein paar Tagen geben.Nachtrag:Ich habe heute die Zeit gefunden und mir die Kamera genauer angesehen.Absolut top ist, die Wertigkeit der Materialien der Kamera. Sie scheint super stabil zusein und der Magnethalter hält so fest das man Zwei Hände benötigt um sie von der Trägerplatte zu lösen. Die Aufbewahrungs Tasche ist ein großer Vorteil da nichts verloren geht wenn man die Kamera nicht benutzt. Jetzt hatte ich kurz Zeit und hab die Kamera an meinem Auto mit Magnet befestigt der Rest geht noch einfacher Monitor am Zigaretteanzünder anstecken und schon ist alles erledigt. Erste Testsfahrt zeigt keine Schwächen und bietet ein ein hervorragendes Bild. Auch ein Test mit der Kamera 15 Meter weg vom Auto zeigte keinerlei Schwächen. Für mich ich der Kauf absolut eine gut Entscheidung gewesen. Heute wurde der platz für die Kamera am Wohnwagen gesucht und gefunden, von der mit gelieferten Trägerplatte die Folie entfernt und dann die Platte an den für mich besten Ort am Wohnwagen angeklebt dann Kamera mittels Magnet angeheftett das war es schom im Prinzip. Das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen. Nächste Woche steht eine kleine Urlaubsfahrt an und werde ich die Kamera auf jeden Fall mal richtig testen.Nach 3 Stunden Fahrzeit konnte ich alles testen, und ich bin der Meinung der Kauf dieser Kamera war absolut die richtige Entscheidung. Ich betreibe die Solar 5B im Dauerbetrieb sozusagen als permanenter Rückspiegel auch auf langen Fahrten mit Wohnwagen, das erleichtert das Überholen von LKW's ungemein.Top Produkt

Fijnste en beste achteruit rij systeem wat ik ooit gehad heb. Hierdoor heb ik heel veel ellende bij achteruit rijden en parkeren kunnen voorkomen en ook is het fijn om tijdens het rijden te zien wat er achter je camper gebeurd
