Pro Pot
Im not nitpicking. For the price, you want an objective review, here it is.What I like: A sturdy pot that heats evenly. Professional grade.Works on my Thermador induction Cooktop like a champ. Trust me, a lot of equipment that says induction ready doesnt work, even from big names. I have used it a lot and it roasts well, makes great stock and browns veggies well for pre work on stews etc.Pot heats evenly, solid construction. I own a lot of cookware and would say the construction, heft of the pot is 5. Its the lid thats the low point, more like 4.5.The pot has sufficient depth for most slow cooking chores and conducts heat well for pre browning of items like onions or meats before stewing. Its not cheap but you do get what you pay for. I would say that you can expect a long service life out of this. The rivet construction will make it a slight bit messy to clean around inside their edges inside but not a show stopper. Handles are a dream to grasp.Nice, thin but non heat conducting, flat so you can pick up with pot holders or towels easily. a nice design touch and again very sturdy construction. Fill index on inside for you to use if you are challenged on how much overall liquid you have inside a pot. I use a measuring cup and read package labels so not a big thing for me, but if you were combining ingredients and weren't good at adding what you have, or have a lot of items with bones in it, such as chickens are short ribs, and you wanted to keep track of portions overall, may be a good thing to know. What I didnt like: Glass Top is a joke, pain to keep clean. Dont get me wrong, it seats well and doesnt let much vapor escape, its just I am not a fan of glass lids. You never really can see whats going on inside, its more ascetics not functionality. When it comes time to clean the nooks and crannies on the inside of the lid require careful scrubbing. All Clad has better designs to their lids with easier to clean design. If Viking had a solid stainless lid i would give it a higher rating. As far as the pot is concerned, you cant go wrong there, with the exception of the lid. Of course if you measure the diameter and go to a restaurant supply house you can find a choice all stainless lid to place on it pretty cheaply.Hope this helps in your selection. I would say buy it, knowing about the lid. Of course if you are a glass lid lover then dont flame me haha.

Well made. But Pricey?
I gave a overall rating of 3 stars. I used the pot for the first time a chicken soup with vegetables. The good… the pot is well made and heats quickly. I’m sure I will get many years of good use.The bad…My herbs and any residue sticks to the sides of the pot and cumbersome to scrap off back into the soup. After a half hour of cooking on medium heat the top and side handles were hot, enough for me to use a pot holder. As for cleaning the pot was ok with soap and water using a light brush and sponge. The price if the pot is expensive and I am not sure at this time if it was worth the purchase. Seems better than some other brands I saw and read in this category.

Best Pots and Pans I've ever had
I have had a set of Viking pots and pans for a couple of years now. I needed a bigger pot for large soup recipes so purchased this one. These pots and pans are a dream. Virtually nothing sticks and even if it does it cleans up so easily. Of note, they take awhile to heat up but once heated they cook amazingly. Handles on lids get hot. I'll never cook with any other brand.

Best X Mass gift ever!
Love the units of measurements on the inside. Do wish they were in cups and quarts, but I'm learning crash course metric. 1st time I've had grilled cheese and pancakes brown evenly all the way across. With no sticking. Not even cream or wheat sticks.Handles are nice also, stay cool like they say. BTW she wanted them for X Mass. ( No, really she did )
