Terra Health Essentials Reflux Inhibitor Betaine HCl & Pepsin Supplement

I don't usually write reviews but I'm compelled to for this because it's helped my quality of life so much and I want everyone with acid reflux to be better off too. I've had acid reflux for as long as I can remember and have tried a bunch of different things, but none of them really seemed to stick so I was skeptical this would be any different. So with these, at first I followed the lower dosage instructions just to see and didn't really feel any difference after the first 2 days. So I upped it from 2 to 3 pills before my main meal and that's when I could almost immediately tell it was working. I was expecting my usual acid reflux / heartburn after eating but it just never came!!! I wasn't sure if it was just my body getting used to it or the extra pill was all it needed. Either way I'm not complaining and it's been a couple weeks without my reflux so I am going to keep this going for as long as it's working. I'll update here if things change but it's already been longer than any other solutions I've tried, so I'm convinced this is the real deal.

The first day I took this product, my heartburn became MUCH worse. All day worse. I thought it may just be an adjustment things so I continued using it for four more days. NOPE! Constant all day heartburn, whether I ate anything or not. Do not buy. It's awful.

This product has helped bring my acid reflux under control.I can actually sleep at night and don't have to get up to drink water or take a tums. This product works for me but might not work for everyone

I pair this with the acid reducer and it's a miracle. OTC meds are not good to take long term so this is perfect and has don't the job like nothing else. **Update, been taking for months now and no longer seeing an improvement. It helped initially and I was hopeful it would keep working. But the acid reflux is back and this is no longer helpful.

For me, the side effects were definitely not worth it. I took it one time and I took two capsules before my dinner like the suggestion says. I developed a headache that evening as I was going to bed. And that night —well into the next day I had the worst case of dry mouth I’ve ever experienced in my life. PLUS stomach irritation. I’m scared to try it again because I was very uncomfortable. But if I do try it again, it will be only one capsule! I just wanted people to know that side effects can happen, even though this is an all herbal supplement. I’m glad that some people were able to take this and find relief.
