An amazing Disney movie for all ages
It came on time, nothing was damaged, and the disc played perfectly! The movie itself is perfect for all ages and has beautiful animation, songs, and voice acting. I would 100% recommend watching this with your kids or even by yourself!

Cartoon is 100 times better than live action movie
I bought this for my sister's birthday. It's not only her favorite version but it's our's, as well. Beast looks like a legitimate Beast rather than a short goat like in the live action. Robby Benson's voice is perfect to portray the Beast. Jodi Benson as 'Belle' has such a beautiful singing voice and has a sweet innocence about her. No offense, but Emma is too tomboyish and she can't sing without extreme auto tuning. Le Fou is a bumbling, secondary character who only looks up to Gaston. He is devious and mean hearted. The moral of this cartoon is to never judge a book by its cover. Beast was conceited and mean at first, dismissing an old beggar woman based simply on her looks. So, the beggar woman revealed her true beauty and turned the Beast into what he was really like on the inside: a monster. Belle's patience and her heart eventually softens the Beast's cruel and impatient attitude. And just in time, too. And, Belle discovers who the real monster was: Gaston. His evil deeds eventually cost him his life in the end. True love conquers all. As it usually does in these types of movies. What the cartoon version accomplished in 80+ minutes, the I've action couldn't do in over 2 hours. Get the cartoon. It's actually worth it. (And, please don't reply if you're only going to bash me for my opinion because I didn't like the live action like you did. I can't be made to like something just to soothe ruffled feathers.) I won't respond to trolling and I will block you. Thanks.

Obscure symbolism, but it seems negative
This is perhaps the most unconventional movie review I have written. "The Beast" is a term that in the past was used to define "Satan" and all that is evil. I did not invent it; it's in the Bible, Book of Revelation. In my opinion, this movie is about "evil forces" and "beauty." In a sense, the cartoon acknowledges that the Beast is not a fair person, declining to help the old lady at the beginning of the movie. When the evil people revealed their true nature in the past, they lost the battle. But, in their opinion, they do not lose the war. It is hard to fully comprehend the symbolism of the cartoon other than the general theme (Evil Marries Beauty), but I will make some "educated guesses." The secret that the Beast is hiding is a rose that is gradually growing old and disappearing. That is a symbol of their true nature and the true opposition to the evil forces that in their opinion is gradually disappearing. "Belle," as the translation of the name in the romance language says, is a representation of Beauty. At that point, any kind of beauty, physical but also the inner one. The movie is about the comprehension of the evil forces that, to fully conquer the world, they need to conquer beauty first, and to do that, they might arrive to pretend to be the good people. To represent the "just man" as an old man, as the father. The father of Belle is a representation of the right man for her, her first husband, who is made gradually old by the interaction with the evil forces. The father is whomever is entitled of the presence of the daughter (often by law), but who is not fully "loved." The evil forces create a fake enemy, Gaston, who has the only role of making the Beast appealing to Belle and separating her from living with her man. The true enemy of the Beast is whomever was meant to be in the past with Belle, whomever put the Beast and the evil forces in the minority, where they belong. Unfairness does not win in majority voting. The only way in which the unjust can win in a majority voting is by pretending to be just. In the movie, the Beast wins. In the real world, the only way to oppose the evil forces is with justice. With what worked in the past, with isolating all the people who go mute when presented with what's unjust in the world, that they do not clearly express disappointment when evil wins... In the future, Belle will become a nice old lady who will need help too, albeit without the beauty. The way she will be treated by the Beast is represented at the beginning of the movie. The reversal, beginning and end, the favorite category of the Devil... They hide, because if they were truthful, they would lose. There is hope.
