While the audio stream is converted to a digital signal the sound that is output can vary depend on a couple of things like the audio format of the vinyl and the audio settings in the Sonos app. You can also tell Sonos to play compressed or uncompressed streams which will change how it sounds too. Once you start playing your vinyl collection, you can group the Sonos speakers/products in the Sonos app to play the same audio stream to all Sonos products, or select Sonos products. Cheers.

is this totally alexa compatible? Can I stream via alexa app to all my alexa devices including this sonos 5 at the same time?

Alexa enabled devices, like an Echo, can be used to start and stop playback, and control basic playback functionality to Sonos speakers. While it isn’t currently possible to group Sonos speakers with first party Alexa devices (Echo, Dot, etc.), you can connect an Echo device through line-in to the Sonos Five to stream music together as a work around.
