Tamagotchi Paradise - Purple Sky

I've been using it a lot for 23 days and the battery still lasts (duracell brand). I have the land version too and that one has been running with the same battery brand for 31 days and no sign of battery depleting any time soon. Unlocking features as you progress with different tamas is nice, but I kinda feel sad I can't interact with the previous ones, and just look at them playing with the stuff I put on the fields. Still cute to look at them though. Although it's very big compared to the uni, I don't mind the size, feels comfortable. Definitely get a screen protector for it, the plastic is a scratch magnet. The sound has adjustable levels and has good quality. I've hear that the plastic shell feels cheap, but I disagree. But I also recommend some kind of case. I made one with yarn (crochet) to prevent scratches just in case.

Full Review — Tamagotchi Paradise (Purple Sky): This is my review on the Tamagotchi Paradise - Purple Sky! It's the newest Tamagotchi! You can take care of your Tamagotchi and breed it with other Tamagotchis to get more Tamagotchis (they added gene mixing back so you can get mixed breeds!!!) and embrace the cuteness of it all. You can connect to another Tamagotchi device to have playdates, give gifts, breed, and more! You can also buy things to decorate your planet or your field — your Tamagotchis can play with toys in the field, and you can unlock new fields over time. The color you choose determines your starting field, but you'll eventually unlock the Land field and Water field too! The screen scratches a bit more easily than other Tamagotchis, so I recommend picking up a screen protector. The device itself is in great condition, and the box is really pretty - not totally relevant, but it is! Great giftability overall (I'm giving this one to a friend soon!). I got mine from Walmart and did a shell swap — that's where you take apart the Tamagotchis and swap the colored parts to create custom color combinations. They look so much cooler! Note on batteries: This product does not come with batteries (requires 2 AAA batteries). In the second picture, I taped "is" over the word "not" on the box because I included batteries in my friend's gift so they could start playing right away - but just to be clear, the product itself does not include them!

Super cute and fun. My daughter loves it! You can have more than one pet, and when or if they die they turn into a star in the sky. All the fun of the original plus so much more to do. The battery life isnt bad, but it isn't good either. I'd still get it again, Definitely worth it 👍🏼

I bought this fully expecting it to be a cute little nostalgia purchase and now why am I emotionally attached to this thing 😭 The Purple Sky color is even cuter in person and the whole design is giving peak tiny-gadget serotonin. It’s super fun to mess with when I’m bored, way more interactive than I expected, and somehow has me checking on it like I have actual responsibilities now lol. Also love that it’s small enough to throw in my bag without being annoying. Did I need another tiny digital creature to take care of? Absolutely not. Am I obsessed anyway? Unfortunately yes 💀💜 10/10 little dopamine machine.

The Tamagotchi Paradise is an amazing and high-quality toy! The purple and pink design looks beautiful and very colorful. The new zoom-in function with the wheel dial is incredibly unique and makes taking care of the character so much fun. My child absolutely loves it and plays with it all day. Highly recommended for any Tamagotchi fan!

I’m really happy with my Tamagotchi! It’s such a fun little device and brings back so many nostalgic memories. The design is adorable, and it’s easy to use and carry around. I love checking on my virtual pet throughout the day and taking care of it. It’s a cute addition to my collection and also makes a great gift. If you enjoy Tamagotchi or nostalgic toys, I definitely recommend it!

I have been collecting Tamagotchi for a while, I own models of all the different colored tamas (On/Meets, Uni, 4u etc) and this one is honestly the best. The amount of mini games and the whole plot (if we can call it that) is very unique compared to others. You're essentially building up a whole tama planet and populating it as a "researcher" for the tamagotchi lab. The graphics are very smooth as well when compared to older colored tamas, it is definitely an upgrade even from the Uni. This model is also rather large, just slightly bigger than the Pix. This model went back to using AAA batteries which although a mild pain to have to swap them out I do prefer it as I do not have to worry about the inevitable battery deteriorating which occurs with any rechargeable battery over time. So far it seems the battery lasts at least 2 days with heavy usage (I play on the device for about 3-4 hours a day, sometimes 5. Sound on lowest setting or off and medium brightness) I would also like to mention that the buttons feel very solid and the quality of the shell feels great, it doesn't feel like it will break easily if cared for well. I am happy that the buttons do require some force to press as older models even the slightest tap would have the tama turning on lol. I love how the minigames are playable even while the tama is asleep, plus you can choose to let your tama sleep early or wake up a bit early too, some of the tamas always went to sleep too late for my schedule and woke up when I was at work, but now I don't have to worry about that since the tama can go with my schedule. I haven't even unlocked all the features yet and it already has way more games/activities available than older models. I can't wait for the restock so I can get a blue and pink one too!

Long story short, I am very nostalgic for Tamagotchi. Been buying one every once in a blue moon and this was my recent delve. I played my Tamagotchi Paradise every day for about four months straight, that’s how long the two AAA batteries lasted in my unit. Here’s my take on it. The device is easy to figure out straight out of the package and the graphics are bright and cheerful. Buttons are all reactive and the rotating wheel is gimmicky, yet satisfying and I found myself enjoying the feature with a strange fondness. The paradise requires consistent attention upon hatching a new Tamagotchi but that only lasts about a day or two and then becomes less needy as it evolves. I didn’t find myself playing the included games as much as I would have liked. I didn’t find them to be very engaging for my ADHD cranium. I also didn’t hatch and raise many of the available Tamas, I couldn’t figure out what I was doing and was too stubborn to look up a YouTube video. I don’t know anyone with a paradise so I can’t vouch for its device-to-device connectivity, but judging from what I’ve seen from videos, it’s a cute feature. I don’t know if I consider full price to be a good value for your money but you definitely will have fun with this device for at least a short time in your life. Many fans remarked that this device contains fewer features than some tamagotchis of the past. It’s my hope that the next Tamagotchi generation has even more customizations and features.

Loved it! But it was designed with the size for a kid, wish they had an adult size. I did had to pay customs upon arrival in my country which I did not was aware before buying. It got more expensive than it was supposed to for the item it is. But since I’m a tama fan… oh well
