Mobility Tool

I have been suffering from sciatica and I am also going through chemo. I am in pain and weak. Not being able to get up, even if just on one knee, brought me to tears. I ordered two of these. Best purchase ever. I live alone so I put one in the kitchen and the other one in the hallway between the bedrooms and bathroom. If I fall down, I am able to crawl to one of these devises and pull myself up quite easily. It is very sturdy and stable even on carpeting. I use it to help me get out of the tub and I take one with me when traveling. I could not recommend this product more highly. I’m ordering one more to keep in the car when traveling and I’m ordering one for my neighbors. Money well spent.

This has kept me independent and off the floor and made it easy to get up from a sitting position or place in a tiny bathroom toilet closet. I have a few of them all over my house. I have very bad knees 1 weak ankle and a bad back...so no telling when or what part of my body will not be strong enough to help me move around get up sit down pick up something. Great help with balance until you can get a stiff knee or leg balanced. This helps where a cane is too long to do so.

I am happy with this device. It helps me to stand up from kneeling or squatting position. It is very strong and solidly built. But it comes in two pieces and is difficult to assemble. When you push the top part with the handle onto the bottom part it seems almost impossible to get it together. Also you are supposed to align the holes on the top and bottom parts so you can screw it together. I was unable to do more than join the top and bottom. Since the fit was so tight I was unable to align them for the screws. But since it was joined together so tightly, I'm not worried about it coming apart. This device really helps me to stand up from kneeling or squatting position, but you have to remember to bring it with you. Also I find it's important to always put it back in one place so I can easily find it. To be honest I think this device, while very useful at times, is a bit overpriced, so only 4 stars.

This things awesome. My dads in his mid eighties but thinks he’s in his twenties so this makes for some sketchy situations. He has a really difficult time getting up from his knees and he’s had several bad falls where getting him back up has been near impossible. The tool is really sturdy and the perfect height to get the proper leverage to push oneself up off the floor. I actually bought two just in case so he can use both hands need be. The bottom part is a thick rubber with grooves on the bottom almost like a tire so it stays put. Not wobbly at all.He’s been carrying this thing around with him while doing projects last couple days and it’s such a relief to know he’s got something with him he can use to keep accidents at bay. Very pleased with this purchase

This thing is way to short to push yourself up with.Was told about an item that you can use to push your self off the floor with saw this looked like what I needed. Wrong this item would be great if it were adjustable. If you know what height you needed and knew someone that know basic wood working would take to pieces of plywood about 18 inches wide and cut a hand grip in top part. You would have to decide on the height. Seems like the guy was telling me he got something like this off of QVC but I could not find it. This thing is a dust collector now keep you money.

It is sturdy and the concept good, however it is much too sort to be useful. If it was built with the ability to easily extend so could be used as an aid in standing up from a position of seated on the ground would be truly useful.

I'd injured one of my knees fairly badly a few years ago, and while I'm back to where walking and day hiking are once again possible, I still sometimes have trouble with the transition from standing to kneeling and vice versa. And when I'm out camping, that's a move that I need to do multiple times a day to get in and out of the tent. After doing some searching around for various assistive devices I decided to give the EZ-Riser a try. Now, after several weeks of use over multiple camping trips I'm going to say I'm very happy with it. It's easy to grip even if it's raining, the base is still stable on somewhat uneven ground (where there's small rocks/roots/etc), and it gives exactly the support I need to go to/from a kneeling position in a smooth controlled move. It's also short enough that I can easily leave it right outside the tent door in the gear vestibule area so it's always handy when I need it. Maybe not something you'd bring on an extended backpacking trip - it's a bit bulky for that - but for car camping where gear size/weight isn't much of an issue it's become a welcome part of my gear.

I took a chance on this tool and bought two of them. Very well made and has many uses, whether you buy 1 or more. This primarily helps me up from my soft leather couch. i have bad knees and back. But is just what you need to lift off from the floor if you kneel down to do various chores. i wouldnt mind having 1-2 that were taller either, may e twice the length.
