Actually gave this to my son to use for yoga. The size is just what he wanted. It looks well made and should last for years.

Very handy, tall enough that it can easily hold a folding music stand. I like the top compartment for wallet, keys, phone. The straps are well designed and can handle a load.

Easy to access top zipper compartment for important items, nothing too fussy - works great and plenty of room and storage for water bottle on the outside, which is key for me. I dislike packing a bottle on the insude because it takes up room.

I am half way through the maiden voyage and I really have given liking it the old college try, but it is going to be donated as soon as I get home. I literally considered buying a cabin suitcase so I didn’t have to continue to use this pack. My questionable sense took over as my 3 cabin suitcases that are essentially new flashed in my mind. To be fair, there are some good features, such as: - The pockets located in the lid - The deep water bottle pockets The features that have questionable usefulness: - The compression straps (which is the feature that made the sale for me). The bag itself has a maximum capacity, it isn’t made of stretchy material and will not become the incredible growing pack. The maximum capacity is actually significantly smaller than the maximum potentially gained volume when looking at the compression straps at their maximum. These straps are only useful if you (1) fill the pack with soft items, like clothes, in the pack and you need to make the pack slimmer or (2) you do not completely fill the pack, so you have extra space that you want to eliminate. The dealbreakers: - The shoulder straps are hard as rocks and the only adjustment is tighter and looser for arm and shoulder width. Basically the adjustment is the same as your every day didn’t break the bank to buy backpack. - The front pocket is shallow and if the pack is full, you probably won’t be able to use it. - The straps are very wide. They were actually too wide for my frame, which are words I never thought I would speak. Out of my 20+ packs, this is the only one with this issue. My thought is that most women will find the straps to get uncomfortable because I don’t shop in the petite department. - The waist strap is essentially worthless because it is too narrow. There are wider add-on waist belts available on Amazon. When I was deciding whether to buy the pack , the existence of this belt weighed in heavily on my decision to buy. - The pack itself is heavy, which is irrelevant only when the bag is not being carried on a back or. The pack isn’t being checked, so no one is questioning the weight. After using the pack, it is 0 for 2 for how well the features that prompted me to purchase were actually worthwhile. This review is based on my use of the pack as my only bag for a two day trip. I used the pack as my carry on item for 4 flights. Both beginning flights were delayed, so I walked the airports with the pack on my back for hours.
