Love the precision on this coffee maker and by far best I’ve owned… best tasting cup of coffee I’ve made. Coffee can be customized temperature and coffee water ratio and few other variables which has an impact on taste. Also appreciate the quality in packaging … was nervous buying through Amazon as I’ve often received opened packages. However I saw its fulfilled directly by Fellow. Packaging and everything was brand new. I’d recommend a Fellow Aiden to any coffee lover. Only downside id say is the size of carafe. If you regularly make coffee for 5ppl / 5 full cups, this may not be for you. Also I gave it 4 stars because the build quality seems like a very cheap plastic.. and the water canister feels like it could break easily. Only a 2 year warranty. The springs on the water canister hoping it’s rust proof! At $500 they could have improved the build quality and less on the design.

I've owned your basic 12-cup coffee maker for a long time, even had the same model now twice in a row. I knew I was missing something and can say without a doubt, the Aiden has been my best "just for me" purchase in a long time. Apple is my gold standard...once I started unpacking the product, I knew I made the right decision. A unique locking system on the outer box to avoid internal shipment breakage. Once opened, the custom fit protective foam uses the absolute minimum required..and then the first touch of the product. Damn, the powder coating finish just feels so good in the palm. Looking at the unit on our countertop is a treat everyday, the Aiden's design is as elegant as Apple products. Now who knew that making coffee could be so refined and tweaked to your hearts content to get that just perfect brewed pot of coffee. Well, if you want to do that, easy peasy with the app, just experiment away. The app is intuitive and makes playing around a breeze. Really unique is when buy their beans/grinds and you use their pre-built settings you don’t have to experiment....of course you can modify those if you so desire. The carafe is double walled stainless steel, so your coffee stays hot without using a burner plate to over cook the coffee, so it actually costs less to use and here in California, our electricity rates are too high to begin with. Unlike every other coffee maker I've owned, I don't have to move it from under the cabinets when brewing as no steam escapes, so no concern for damaging your underside of the cabinets. One last thing. Every coffee pot always seems to drip when pouring right at the end. The curvature of this carafe spout is perfect, I never have to wipe the counter. The Aiden has hit all the big design elements and then goes further to make perfect all the little annoying things I've always been annoyed about.

Look, its not that complicated to make a great coffee brewer. Logic board for termperature control of the water, quality sprayer to disperse the water evenly over the grounds, smart logic to control the rate of water dispersement, and a REALLY GOOD vacuum layered carafe with a seal-type system at top that gets opened while brewing. CONS - This coffee machine does not wow you with its quality feel and look. The images on amazon are more attractive than the product itself. It honestly feels more like a low quality product on your counter unfortunately. - Carafe feels ok, but doesn't hold temperature AT ALL.. might as well be a glass carafe with heater element under it. This is my greatest disappointment. - Price PROS - Does make a great cup of joe thanks to its good water dispersement and temperature control on the water This thing does not have a high cost of production, they are unncessarily inflating the price. Time will tell if the internals stand against normal wear, I may come back to this review and update either way.

This is a lovely coffee maker that makes a great cup of coffee. The only challenge is that neither my wife nor I can figure out how to pour a cup without spilling all over the counter. Sounds weird I know...

Great coffee maker that delivers true pourover-quality without me having to stand there in a towel with toothbrush in my other hand rushing before work. Many coffee makers have uneven extraction, with a tight or even burned taste, but this delivers really well and has a lot of brew control. My preferred pourover method at home is really specific, and when I launched the app it was super easy to set up my profile. I like that I can control water temperature (201F), bloom ratio and time (3:1, 45s), and number of pulses + temperature of each one. The scheduler is pretty intuitive, and while the app is how I tend to set things up it's not too hard to use the wheel on the front of the device (though there are a few little UI quirks, like the Back button being at the top). I'm excited to try the Cold Brew function (you can do a multi-hour extraction) and maybe the subscription drops...maybe Fellow can get me out of my Light Roast comfort zone. Tiny improvements that would help my quality of life: - Finer-grained control of water quantity (can only do increments of 50mL) - You can control water quantity and ratio, but 'amount of coffee' is an output of these two and not input. I usually grind my coffee first and if I want to add/subtract from my usual dose, I have to do a back-calculation and go adjust the water amount rather than say "do X grams of coffee at 15:1 ratio" and have it spit the water value out. - Doesn't have a heating element - Water basin is a bit tough to clean - Units are ALL metric or ALL imperial -- I think of weights and volumes in metric but temperature in imperial :D
