I have a lot of blonde highlights and I've tried other brands of purple shampoo but none work like this one. It's such a great product. It gets rid of the orangish/yellowish/brassiness, but be careful with how long you let it sit on your hair because it will make your hair look slightly whiteish/blueish. I suggest first washing your hair with your normal shampoo, rinse it out, and then wash your hair with this purple shampoo and then wash it out right away. If you still see brassiness, then next time let it sit a short while on your hair. This is what I do, and it works. Just know if you find you've let it stay too long on your hair and it turns it slightly whitish/blueish, it will wash out after a few washes. Don't panic like I did! If this happens, then you'll know to not let it sit as long as you did the next time you wash your hair with it. Lastly, it does dry out your hair somewhat, so I have found it's best to use it once or twice a week, and then use a really good conditioner. I only use Davines OI Hair Butter, which is sold on Amazon. It's pricy, but worth every penny. I keep it on my hair and don't wash it out and then I blow dry my hair, which makes my hair look so smooth once it's dry. Hope this helps!

I have heavy highlights to try and blend my gray hair, and the highlights always turn yellow no matter what after about a week. I used this like shampoo, and left it on my hair while I shaved and washed my face. The results are AMAZING. The yellow brassy color is way toned down. I love the smell too. I used gloves, to avoid staining my hands. I also put on spray leave in conditioner. If you want a purple shampoo that works, this one definitely does. I’ve tried a lot of them, and none of them have worked as well as this in one shampoo.

Hands down the best purple shampoo I've used thus far. I only knocked off a star because it is rather drying, so I recommend mixing it in with a little conditioner, or with a more moisturizing shampoo. This really keeps the brass in my hair at bay, especially being that I have hard water and it makes my blonde hair orange. The purple color is rich and deep, which is good when you have really brassy hair. I don't really have any issues with it turning my hair purple or anything like that. I prefer most ashy tones, as I feel they are more natural looking, so I like the end result this shampoo provides. I only need to use it once a week, and I leave it in my hair for a few minutes. I've tried higher end purple shampoos, such as Loreal and TIGI, and I like this one the best. I will purchase again. A little goes a long way.

Otherwise— the most AMAZING purple shampoo / purple anything to do with toning out brassy yellow tones in blonde hair. And I’ve had blonde hair for years so let me tell you. Save the hassle and get THIS. I tell everyone I know that has blonde hair and complains about brassiness. Nothing compares to this. (Out of the cheaper Walmart / Sally’s level of product anyways) Oh but beware, it does makeup hair a bittt grayish if you leave it in a couple minutes and adds the purple tint to it too, because I do it twice - rinse it out and redo it in the same shower, every couple times I wash my hair... but that’s the color I love! Also, I love how sparkly and beautiful the purple color of this shampoo is it’s seriously just lovely ☺️

I have to use so much shampoo just to wash my head because it doesn’t spread and go far like others I have used. It does clean my hair well but because it doesn’t last long I have decided to try out other brands because the cost of this isn’t worth the amount I can use in my opinion
