Can you use a smartphone to upload games instead of a computer?

Hi, thanks for your inquiry. You need to use a computer and the LeapFrog Connect software with a parent account (www.leapfrog.com/connect). Best Regards, VTechkids

Can you use a mac laptop or does it have to be a windows pc? Thanks!

Hi, Here are the requirements: PC Requirements: Pentium® 4 or equivalent (2 GHz processor or faster recommended); Windows® 7, Windows® 8, or Windows® 10 operating system with latest service pack.Mac Requirements: Intel®-based Apple computer (1 GHz processor or faster recommended); Mac OS X 10.11+ operating system software.MAC, APPLE, and MAC OS are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries

Is it good for 12 years and up?

It says 4-8 years old. Your 12 year old might get bored and it might not challenge them enough. It is very helpful with math though.

How exactly do you get these on your existing leap frog twist?

You plug the leap frog twist into a computer using a USB cable and use the leapfrog software to install the games. The software in on their website and free to download. There is a code on a little card in the packaging you will need to add the game through the software.

Fun AND educational

These games are sold individually as well as in double packs, 2 for the price of one. I missed out on the savings with the first and 2nd expansions I purchased, but did the 2 for 1 deal with the remaining 4. I had a little difficulty installing the first game due to my computer settings. If you're having issues, PLEASE read the directions thoroughly before leaving a nasty review! Some of these negative reviews almost prevented me from purchasing. The instructions will guide you on the propper settings your computer must be in to load the games. If they are not correct, they will not install. My 5 year old daughter absolutely LOVES these games and I love that they're educational. They are a fun way for her to strengthen her math, reading, spelling and problem solving skills. Also education on animals. There are several games included in each expansion pack so she doesn't get bored.
