We first bought 2 pounds but it wasn’t enough. So we bought another 2 pounds. This, 4 pounds worked for us. It has been a month and it is coming in strong. **Q: Is there a shelf life? e.g. Can I buy it now (for a gift) and plant in 5 months?** A: It died within 2 months. Don’t buy it **Q: What kind of grass that green all year ?** A: Creeping Bentgrass. It is used on golf greens. Bentgrass is like Bermuda but stays green all year. Bermuda is a warm soil grass and Bentgrass is a cool soil grass like bluegrass. Seeds are very very small. I use a kitchen strainer to apply. **Q: how much do i need for a 1000 square feet putting green?** A: 1.0-1.5 pounds per 1000 square feet. Use straw or hydro mulch and crimp in, as the seed will tend to migrate and become a nuisance in the margins of your yard Fertilize frequently with a low analysis fertilizer ( the every holiday system works well).
