Necessary!
These Porsche radio removal tools are absolutely essential. Initially, I tried to remove the radio without them, but it was impossible. Purchasing these affordable tools made the process so much easier. I wish I had bought them from the start; it would have saved me a lot of time. Great product and excellent seller!

A Key for Success
The removal keys are made by Porsche and are made of steel, not flexible aluminum. To avoid any confusion, each key is marked "TOP LEFT" and "TOP RIGHT", since their orientation is critical when inserted into the radio openings. It would have been helpful to provide step by step instructions to walk you through the radio removal process. I guess that's why there is an internet and Youtube. Finally, in order to avoid any pain to your fingers which are inside the key openings, I suggest you use a wooden dowel in each of the key openings during the radio removal process.

Fits perfectly for 2002 Porsche Boxster with CDR-220
Works perfectly to remove the CDR-220 radio set from my 2002 porsche boxster. Car battery died and I needed to remove the unit to access the serial number code for reset.

Does what it says.
What else can I say, it removes the stock Porsche radio relatively easily. If you need to remove a radio that this is compatible with, buy it.
