BOSCH PS21-2A 12V Max 2-Speed Pocket Driver Kit with (2) 2.0Ah Batteries

This is my absolute favorite screw driver for electronics and computer repair. I paired it with a 6 inch Philips bit that I just leave in it all the time. (see pic) My rule: If the bit is too big for the screw, Use a precision hand screw driver. If it fits, Save yourself some time. Set the clutch and watch your work go faster.The reasons this is amazing for repair work are the light weight and small form factor, The excellent reach and visibility with my long bit, and most importantly, the speed that you can tighten or loosen screws coupled with the clutch, which when set on 1, does a beautiful job of preventing over tightening, which can damage delicate equipment. I can tighten a screw at full speed (speed is similar to a cordless drill or impact driver) and the clutch will make sure the screw is tightened perfectly.Leave those miserable little pen style screwdrivers off your list. Forget the clutchless drivers that spin so slowly that you want to kill yourself waiting for them to finish. (Most small screw drivers will leave the clutch off. Don't be fooled! You need the clutch.) Forget using a full sized heavyweight drill/driver. Trust me! This is the tool for you!(for those who may not know,. the clutch is the dial at the business end of the screwdriver with the numbers on it. It prevents overtightening by disengaging the power/torque when a screw is tightened to the desired amount. 1 is least tight 20 is most tight See the attached video. The clutch stopped the screw from being overtightened even though I held the trigger for too long. You can hear the difference in sound when the clutch kicks in)This thing is legitimately perfect. The battery lasts me for months and it comes with a spare! The price is reasonable, It has abundant power, The grip is great and it comes with a soft case.I also use this for light wood work. It does not struggle driving a 3" screw into a 2X4. It excels at making flat pack furniture builds painless (Ikea furniture) Ikea will tell you no drills. With the clutch set at 2 or 3, it will tighten perfectly and safely every time. (start the screws with your fingers first and tighten with the Bosch so you don't strip out the threads)I love this tool! I have had it for several years and it's one of my all time favorites.

It took me a long while and a lot of research before I chose this specific compact drill/driver. I had a list of specifications that I wanted met which had narrowed the list quite a bit. I find this tool to be about as perfectly balanced and sized as anyone could want. This has a size compact enough for a woman or a child to use easily also with their smaller hands. A problem I have heard from my friends and people teaching kids to use power tools safely.The tool is robust and the clutch actually works, which is more than I can say for many other cordless drivers and drills. The dual speed gear setting is an absolute MUST for anyone choosing such a tool. Also you will want to invest in a good set of 1/4" drive bits and accessories. There are many quality ones to choose from.I use this tool primarily for assembly and disassembly on electronics devices so the fine and precise speed control was a must also. Most tools this size do not have enough torque to safely apply power to small screws. Cheaper (less quality) tools will require you to squeeze the power trigger more than you need which often strips out the bit or screw heads. The Bosch PS21-2A has plenty of power and so you have adequate control and stability when performing precise jobs. I give this tool a full FIVE STARS!
