Can water be used to weight the ladder instead of sand?

No way I am still having issues getting this not to float and I have sand and weights holding it down. This is not a good ladder handrail very flimsy don’t waste your money.

What is the height from bottom step bottom to top step? I know it is not 81". Less than that. But what is it?

I would say without measuring, approximately 44 to 45 inches.I have a 48 in deep pool, the steps fall just below edge of pool.

Can you remove the handrails?

Yes you can. The handrails provide support getting in and out of the pool if you elect to enter the pool that way.

Do these steps go all the way to the bottom of the pool
